First time at Cafe Coda, and loved it! Very welcoming. Appreciate the incredible talent and innovation of musicians tonight! Beautiful. Thank you for bringing us all together on Willy Street.

The music here is simply incredible! Excellent band! Unfortunately the acoustics were not good, and the cocktails might just have been the worst I’ve ever had in Madison. I’d come again, but I’ll stick to beer next time 🍺

Edit: I came back a year later and the cocktails were much improved 😀 and the show was really fabulous with the incredible Tani Diakite. Everyone was up and dancing and enjoying the music.

A rare and delightful opportunity. Thank you for the memorable performance, the comfortable venue, and the gracious people working at this unique place.

If you are looking for a great first date spot, or a chill place to work during the afternoon, this is the place!
At night it becomes a really fun bar, often with live music! I went there with my partner to enjoy a fun Salsa/Soul band, and they even had free Salsa lessons beforehand. The team did an awesome job adding energy to the atmosphere, so it never felt awkward on the dance floor. The drinks were well made, and even the Old Fashioned tasted good! (I'm particularly picky about them, so this was a nice plus.)
They have frequent fun events like Spoken Word nights, vinyl nights, and during the day they are a full blown café with coffee and great seating. 10/10 would bring my girlfriend here again for date night.

Awesome small venue. 50-100 people. Very friendly and efficient staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!

The music was great, so was the bartender/service and it’s a cool atmosphere. If you like Jazz or live music, this is a great place to go.

Really fun and cozy place to hang out. Wednesday karaoke has become a weekly event for me!

Comfy, upscale bar with regular live music. On Saturdays during the school Hanah Jon Taylor teaches "Cool School", a free class for kids to bring their instruments and learn some jazz improv techniques.

I found this place randomly while on a walk and discovered a really nice vibe that serves great drinks with a comfortable and inviting atmosphere and promotes great local jazz music.

I'll be visiting again and highly recommend.

Came here for the first time last night to watch my friend perform, it was amazing! The atmosphere is very chill and welcoming, the service was immaculate, the ladies at the front and the bar know what they are doing! And I was so happy to see the fantastic performance. I'm hoping to come here a lot more often!

Great jazz club that's been around for more than a year in the hear of Madison. Johann Wallmann quartet took the stage for two unbelievable sets. First time seeing the vibraphone as part of a jazz concert I was captivated by the melodies. Quality jazz artists and I can't wait to go back!

This is a fabulous place to get a drink and hear some amazing jazz. Cool ambiance with a slightly upscale, yet laid back feel. Jazz ensemble was just awesome, bartenders were on the spot and attentive, very classy in shirt and tie. Had a wonderful time. Definitely would visit again next time I'm in Madison. Real gem.

Staff was amazing, the venue was awesome, and the band/dance party afterwards was cool as well! This is a great place to take a date, first or otherwise, if you are looking for an intimate, cozy setting. Only thing this place could do better on is a better food menu. Nonetheless, I still give it 5 stars! 😁

I played with the Madison Jazz Orchestra tonight. Did not have food, but you can bring food in! Bartender was great and the atmosphere is reminiscent of an old jazz club. MJO is there the 3rd Thursday of each month. They have LOTS of other events! Check it out.

I especially enjoy Tuesday Latin Dance and Tango Night and Swing Night on Wednesday. The dance floor deserves real dance shoes so don’t forget to bring them!

This was my first visit and definitely NOT my last!!! Such an absolutely wonderful staff and atmosphere!!!!! The band was on FIRE!!!!!!! The drinks were fantastic!!!!! Thank you Cafe Coda for making my birthday such a memorable one!!!!!!! I will surely be back again WITH FRIENDS!!!!!!!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
