I used Homes for Heroes for both selling and purchasing my homes. Both in different states. The process was seamless. They connected me to my realtors within a few hours of registering both times. There were no hidden fees, gimmicks, or anything. How it works is, realtors who are a part of homes for heroes receive their usual commission from the seller (person selling the home) and you receive a percentage of their commission. You receive it in a check soon after closing. That’s it. Nothing more. You don’t have to be a first time home buyer and the home doesn’t even have to be your primary residence! I truly appreciate this program and would use it again in a heartbeat. Highly, highly recommended.
