Szechuan Delight Chinese

This has been the best and most authentic Chinese food in the area for thirty years. Since changing ownership several years ago, it has only improved. Now there are Shanghainese specialties like the pan fried pork buns which are amazing. Other dishes that we love are the Peking duck, seafood pan fried noodles, fried tofu with chopped shrimp, and the casseroles. Love love love this place. If you don’t know what to order, ask for Lynn and she will help you order.

The best authentic Chinese food you can get in central Jersey! My Shanghai friends highly recommended this place to us and so lucky we didn’t miss it. Definitely try their moon cake(鲜肉月饼），exactly same falvor you can get in Shanghai, with crispy crust and juicy ground pork filling. 熏鱼is our favorite! Deep fried fish soaked sweet sour sauce! The owner is very warm, come to check several times. She also gives us some free fish to try, so sweet! We will definitely come back!

I’ve been going here for years with my family. I’ve gotten both take out and dined in. The staff is wonderful, and the food as well! My favorite is the beef soup or the meatballs. Would highly recommend!

We are a Chinese Chorus of many people who often come to dine in after a concert or taking out for our events. They never disappoint us. Food are always delicious.

Ignore the haters. Yes, they have staffing issues (i.e. no one at front desk all the time) but the prices are also reasonable. Food tastes great. Owner/staff are pleasant and kind.

The food was really good. I had House Special Fried Rice, great seasoning, just a little grease but really good. The egg soup 🍲 was phenomenal and one thing that amazed me the most was the service speed. She was super fast.

Always my go to in the area, the quality of the dishes has only improved over the years. I ordered broccoli in garlic sauce last night and it is honestly hands down the best I’ve ever had. It is the first time in my life I’ve had broccoli garlic sauce that actually has a little kick to it! Food is always prepared timely, staff is helpful and over the years the food gets BETTER. Their vegetable fried rice is also the best in the area. If you haven’t tried, give them a shot.

Great food either take out or dine in...

Usually busy at lunch and dinner hours. Order takeout ahead is highly recommended. Recommended spicy chicken with sesame and peanuts, beef tender with black bean sauce, fried squid with salt and pepper.

Have been looking for GREAT Chinese Food and Schezuan Delight was fantastic. We had spring rolls, chicken with cashews, beef with broccoli, pork lomein, and moo-shoo pork and everything was incredibly delicious. It was ready quickly and still hot when we got home to eat it (were about a 7-10 minute drive away). We found our go to place!

Without a question the best Chinese American cuisine I've had in a long time. I'm pretty sure we all have our own favorite places, but give Szechuan Delight a I try, you will understand what I mean 🙂

Great restaurant with great staff prices and atmosphere. I think they just changed ownership as well, which is good, the new ownership seems to have brought the restaurant to the next level. Highly recommend, go stuff your face.

I had the lomein with chicken and it was very good. Ask your waiter for the Sichuan red pepper oil. It is not super hot and has a nice background garlicky taste.

Don't be fooled by the name of the restaurant :) It's not a typical Szechuan place, but serves some pretty authentic Cantonese and Shanghainese food. Love their Lion's head (Huaiyang style meatball) and fried buns!

Although not right around the corner for us - very happy that we finally found a place that makes fresh, flavorful, non-greasy chinese cuisine. Takeout was fast and the foot was piping hot.
