All the food was spot on for taste and quality. Chicken sandwich was perfect flavors. Very surprised by olive oil and sea salt soft serve actually tasted very good. Will order again next time.

Kyndred Hearth is a fantastic restaurant, located in the beautiful Omni Viking Lakes Hotel. The restaurant is in a huge room with super high ceilings. We were in a lovely corner booth, which offered a view of the vast restaurant and open kitchen. Our server, Sara, was great and offered helpful suggestions. I got the Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich - which did not disappoint! The sandwich was a delicious combination of sweet and spicy (yes, it's got heat!) and the thinly sliced fries were outstanding. My husband got the Korean Braised Short Rib. It was moist and delicious and a nice large serving. They happily substituted broccolini in lieu of polenta. We can't wait to return to try the other menu items!

In town for business and was blown away by this place. Being a chef myself i am hard to please and it was exceptional. Food was next level perfection and my server Haley was absolutely amazing.

What a pleasant surprise to learn that this Eagan, MN restaurant is part of the Omni Viking Lakes Hotel. I like that it is open to the public; you do not have to book a room at the hotel to dine there. Since we live locally, this is awesome; plans are already made to return with a friend. Ann Kim's reputation as a James Beard award-winning chef attracted me to try out the restaurant. We’ve enjoyed previous dining experiences where we tasted her recipes/cooking.

While many were ordering their specialty burgers, woodfired pizza, and freshly made pasta, I had the Korean Braised Short Ribs. The ribs were tasty, not too heavy, and very tender, with Bok Choy adding flavor. For my vegetable, I had the Sugar Snap Peas. My waitress recommended them, and they surprised me with how delicious they were. The yogurt sesame sauce had fun bursts of cashew chili oil. I think anyone would like them.

Being very thirsty, I ordered the Apple Spiced Sour Cocktail with my meal. It proves that you don’t need alcohol in your drink to enjoy it. For dessert, I ordered what I thought might be most refreshing on a super-hot summer day – the Grapefruit Blossom. It may be the best cocktail that I’ve ever had!

Every menu item that I tasted consisted of super-quality ingredients that were artfully combined, and the execution was stunning.

The service is exceptional. All staff are knowledgeable about the menu and willing to accommodate my substitution requests. Several are from Columbia, and it was fun to hear them conversing; they quickly sent someone who is fluent in English to my bar seating to assist me.

It has an ample open interior space with modern décor. Parking is no problem. Guests have easy access from anywhere in the Twin Cities as it is near 494 and quite central. You can do take out. It had ground-level access – no steps, so it is handicap accessible.

Everything is amazing. Great food, great service. So many options and seasonal menus. Excellent wine selection. We shared the Wagu New York strip and anchovy toast.

Wow- what an amazing experience. We are local and I had been wanting to try this place for forever hearing rave reviews about it. Went in with high expectations and was completely blown away. We were seated right in front of the open concept kitchen so we could see all of the action. Sara was our server and knew the menu front to back and was extremely inviting and attentive. The house made pasta was unreal and the pizza was incredible. The drinks were amazing as well. Will absolutely be back, best meal I’ve had in a LONG time.

We love Kyndred Hearth for their care with the food and excellent hospitality service. We feel welcome every time we come here and love to see familiar faces like Andrew, Ladey, Sara, TJ, Kim, Josh, John and Sergio, who are great at what they do!

The salmon was unbelievably crunchy outside and flavorful and moist inside. It was pure perfection!

We come here often. They also have other marvelous dishes.
Tonight (I’m editing the review on another visit later than the one above), we had arancinis and the Tavern pizza enhanced with the optional smoked bacon, olives, onions and garlic. The honey on this pizza gives a very special contrast of flavors with the meats.

FOOD: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥SERIOUSLY
100/10 - Extremely impressive. Portions are generous so be ready to share... You absolutely can not go wrong with this place. Steak & Mushrooms 🚀 I CANT EVEN DESCRIBE! Every pizza that passed by looked top-shelf. The chef took it to another level w/ everything I tried. Very impressed with the art 👏

Next time: Meatballs & pasta.

Wait staff was awesome too. Reservation helped.

Listen. Ann Kim RULES. If her name is attached to a restaurant, it will be amazing. The service, the beverages, the food-everything will be amazing. There is no such thing as too much hype when it comes to her, she is a queen. I keep pinching myself that we have a James Beard award winning chef right here in Eagan, and truly, the most beautiful restaurant South of the River hands down.

Your best bet is to go with friends and sample a little bit of everything. The beverage menu has specialty cocktails and mocktails. The summer of 2023 is featuring a strawberry rhubarb margarita that is divine.

Pizzas are just as good as they are at Pizzeria Lola and Young Joni-delicious. I'm a sucker for the Tavern Pie, a simple pizza topped with pepperoni, jalapeño and honey. The honey elevates this pie to something completely different. Every time I order it, I think...it won't be as good as I remembered. WRONG. It's always better. That salty/sweet/spicy combination is irresistible.

The chopped salad is out of this world. As at her other restaurants, Ann Kim takes a simple vegetable to next level territory. At Young Joni, the cauliflower is the star of the show. At Kyndred? It's the broccolini. Once again, simple ingredients-olive oil, lemon and Calabrian chili elevate a humble vegetable into something wonderful.

I love the hanger steak-served sliced to be eaten as wraps. The pastas are all delicious. Short rib? GOOD. Pork Belly? GOOD.

Even if you're so full you could burst, do save room for the vanilla soft serve topped with olive oil and sea salt. It's a revelation.

We were a little apprehensive after reading all the negative service reviews, but we did not experience that. We ordered many items to try. The wings were spiced very well with a mustard sauce that had the wasabi through the nose effect (love that). The Snow Pea salad was refreshing and tasty (none leftover). The pappardelle bolognese was beautiful (leftover warmed up perfectly). Mixed mushroom pizza was divine. The crust was fabulous! The short ribs and polenta fell short for us. Texturally dry and the polenta tasted weird and we love miso. Finished with the honey cake. The flavor was good. Texture was like a coffee cake. The service was great. We have no complaints there. The area is really open but that was not a deterrent for us.

Had a great experience at dinner with friends on a Wednesday night. JP is the general manager of the restaurant and oversees his staff to deliver excellent hospitality. The wood fired pizza is excellent and so was the olives appetizer. There is a lot of choice in wines by the glass which is appreciated. The wings are good but the mustard sauce is a bit too zesty.

March 2023 had a great meal. The pork belly is amazing!

Hands down my new favorite restaurant. The homemade pasta's and woodfired pizza's are maybe the best I've ever had. The charred broccolini is so good, as is their meatballs and the braised short rib. The soft serve with olive oil and sea salt is killer. I'd also recommend the strawberry rhubarb margarita.
My second visit there, there was a mix-up with waiters and it was 25 minutes before I went to the host and mentioned that no one had yet come to our table. They completely made it up to us with exceptional service, and some complimentary apps and desserts for the wait.

The chefs at Kyndred Hearth exceeded my expectations this weekend. I have many food allergies and assumed that my only option would be a dinner salad. However, the chef created a special salmon entree that was free of gluten, dairy, and corn. It was exceptional --- and so above and beyond! I would highly recommend Kyndred Hearth!

We were famished after a long trip and stopped here for dinner. Great decision. We're also fans of Chef Ann Kim, so we knew we'd enjoy the culinary offerings she created for this menu. Great food. We had the Korean fried chicken sandwich, SKOL burger (the Vikings performance center is across the pond from it), two pasta dishes, and two different vegetable sides. Everything was amazing. Try the roasted maitake mushrooms. They're sublime. Our server accidentally put in an order for a dish we didn't want, but she took care of it no questions asked. We're very appreciative. Will definitely go back.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Kyndred Hearth. With the chef behind Young Joni apart of it, we knew it was going to be good, and it was.

We feasted on Antipasti, pizza and pasta. Perfect plates for sharing and the sea salt carmel soft serve was to die for.
Our server was great, I wish I remembered his name because he was so nice and gave us great recommendations!

We both agreed we'd love to go back when it's warmer and the patio is open.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kyndred Hearth, a charming restaurant that features a stone oven for pizza. I must say, I was thoroughly impressed by the entire experience!

The restaurant itself has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, with a rustic charm that really adds to the overall vibe. But the real star of the show is undoubtedly the food. The pizzas that are cooked in the stone oven are absolutely delicious, with a perfect crust that is crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside.

But it's not just the pizza that stands out at Kyndred Hearth. The menu is filled with a variety of mouthwatering dishes that are expertly prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. From the appetizers to the desserts, every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor.

And to top it all off, the service at Kyndred Hearth was impeccable. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, which really added to the overall dining experience.

All in all, I can't recommend Kyndred Hearth enough. If you're looking for delicious food, great atmosphere, and top-notch service, this is the place to be. I will definitely be coming back here again and again!

Great food. Some of the best dining in the south metro.
Waitstaff is professional.
Food is always 10/10.
Strongly suggest the Korean braised short ribs and the pizza with lemon and sardines on it.
