I have been getting my haircut by Jen for almost 10 years now. She is the most talented, professional, and thoughtful stylist I've been to. She'll give you the exact cut you are looking for. Plus she's so fun, kind, and easy to chat with. I always look forward to my appointments with Jen and couldn't recommend her enough.

Jen is amazing! It's nice to be showered with such wonderful customer service, some girl chat and a great hair cut to boot! Highly recommend!

Finding the right people for personal care is like finding the right doctor, far and few between. I cant tell you how many times Jen has rescued me from a bad haircut or eyebrow experience, plus I love the new location! Keep it up!

I would give this place 10 stars if possible! I walked in terrified because of my last salon experience and Jen made me feel so comfortable. She's so confident in her work and that's simply because she's truly amazing! I went from crazy bleached blonde to a beautiful light golden brown and it looks awesome! Loved her!

I've been going to The Loft for over a decade. Jen is an awesome stylist and an even better person. Having her cut my hair is about my favorite thing. Can't recommend highly enough.

I really can't say enough about Jen and The Loft. I have been going to Jen for years and it's the first time I've ever followed a hairstylist from one city to another. She is worth it, trust me. I went to Jen based on my roommate having randomly seen Jen for the first time and having come back with a great hairstyle. I have thin, wavy hair that I had wanted done in a pixie style for years but no other hairstylists could get it right so I gave up on it ever being done. The first time I saw Jen, I didn't bring in a picture or anything. I sat down, she asked what I wanted, I said that truthfully I wanted a pixie cut but doubted it could work. She stood behind me moving my hair around, peering into the mirror as if she wasn't listening, then said "Okay." I didn't know what to expect but when she was finished, I had exactly the hairstyle I had wanted for years and years, and I hadn't even brought in any references! It was perfect. After that, I was hooked. I never, ever bring in pictures. I always tell her vaguely what I want, and otherwise say, "Do what you want," and she's never steered me wrong.

I get so many compliments on my hair it's kind of funny, and I always have the little business cards she gives with my name on it because even random strangers ask where I get my hair done. The cards are helpful for them to know who to ask for and who to reference. If you're referred to Jen (I'm not sure if this is the case with all the stylists?), you get $10 off your first haircut and the person who referred you gets $5 off.

I've also had my hair colored by Jen and I love it every time. The red actually stays a long time; I don't know if it's my hair or what. She's really good about helping decide what colors will look best in your hair. I had lowlights and highlights put in for my brother's wedding and I was really happy with the results. It's awesome to have someone to go to and just say "Do what you think will look good" and know that you don't have to make all the decisions or do all the research to know exactly what type of color or cut you want-- but that you'll still walk out looking fabulous.

She also is good about thinking ahead. I've seen Jen with long hair, short hair, and everything in between, and she always cuts my hair so that I get the maximum style even in the awkward process of growing it out. That isn't to say my hair never looks terrible during those times, but that's always when it's been a month or so since I've seen Jen and I'm probably due for another appointment. She also does free bang trims for existing customers, which is nice for when your hairstyle will remain fine for awhile but the bangs need a bit of help now and then. That way you aren't paying for a whole haircut when you don't want or need it, and you're not waiting too long to come back in to the point that your bangs just look silly.

What adds even more to the experience is that The Loft is very chill. I love all the people who work there, so that even if I get there early to an appointment I never worry. They offer free beverages, are super friendly, and I can usually get into a geeky conversation about chai with the receptionist or someone else before the day is through.

I highly recommend Jen, and although I have no personal experience with the other stylists I would say that you'd probably do well with anyone at The Loft. There are a whole bunch of friends of mine who now go to Jen at The Loft based on my referral, so it's kind of funny to go in to see Jen and have her say, "Such and such was just here..." One friend and I seem to somehow be on the same cycle because we always see Jen in the same week without consulting with each other, lol, and this is after months in between.

I'm not the sort of person who usually writes Google reviews, but I feel so strongly about Jen and The Loft that I can't help writing a review. I really have never been dissatisfied and I've been seeing Jen for probably 5-6 years by now. The friends I've referred to her have all had different hairstyles as well, from thin like mine to very thick.

Jen the owner is hands down the best person to cut your hair. I've been getting my haircut here for 5+ years.

Best salon in town. Only place we go. Jen and Abby are masters at their craft. Recommend 1000%! We love the new space!!
