Great place for a romantic dinner. The cave booths make it somewhat private despite being close enough.
Excellent food with many options. My girlfriend and I ordered different wraps and both were delicious. Everything is very fresh and the flavors are thought through. In case you aren't too hungry, there are plates to share and you won't be disappointed.
Delicious simplicity served fresh.

Unusual spot. We went for dessert and boy did we get dessert. Very big and very yummy! Decorated like a "tropical cave". Great for a romantic date.

Loved the ambiance!! Definitely a place to go for a romantic and intimate night with a loved one. There desserts are spectacular! And it’s Byob! So bring some champagne or wine or whatever you like 👍🏼

Beautiful, quiet, romantic place for a date night. I love the design and atmosphere , it is very intimate. The food is delicious, menu has a lot of vegan options, humus is one of the best I’ve tried. This restaurant doesn’t serve alcohol, but they have a lot of non-alcoholic options. Big choice of desserts. Service is nice, attentive and fast, they don’t assign a certain waiter for you, any of the staff can help you, so it is pretty convenient. This place might not have a full dining experience, because they don’t have much dishes for main course, but you definitely will not leave hungry, 2 appetizers and a gyro completely filled 2 people.

Perfect for a late night date with your partner. The place is very romantic especially if you reserve for the caves. The servers all do work together so they really do not rush to get you out. Just be patient with them. I do recommend 100%….. Also, perfect place to give your partner a promise ring. 😉

It was my first time here. I had a reservation for four at 4 and we were seated by 4:02PM. We loved the atmosphere. It was such a great overall experience. The starters were amazing as we had the nachos and breadsticks. I wish there was more of a variety of for entrees but the brownie for dessert was UNBELIEVABLE! The drinks were also exceptional. We will definitely be back!!!!!

The relaxed ambience, service and food is awesome. They have plenty of vegan and vegetarian food options. They work as a team to service their customers which is awesome. You will definitely feel well taken care of. Try the spicy Houston garden burger and the hummus. It feels like you’re having dinner in a cave. The restaurant isn’t bright so if you don’t like to eat in a restaurant where it’s dim this isn’t the place for you to dine in. Maybe just order takeout. I can’t wait to visit again!

I celebrated my one year anniversary with my boyfriend here. It was his first time here and he LOVED IT. The food was very fresh. The staff was very friendly from the moment we came in and the dessert was amazing. Definitely recommend for a special cozy and quiet dinner. The decor is very fun and intimate and it gives a special feeling inside.

You might get lucky finding Parking Friday-Sunday. **Make a reservation before you go to ensure you're seated in a cave. The food & service were great ! Overall, it was a great experience.

Amazing places for desserts, its BYOB. The establishment has been there over 20 yrs and it still delivers stellar menu options 👌

Was with a bunch of friends and wanted to go to a nearby cafe. We found Cafe Archetypus. When we first arrived to I thought we were entering some secret club. Once we entered my friends were astonished by the interior decor. The staff was quick to seat us in the “cave”

The waitress was very helpful and even suggested to try new add ons to the menu.

The hot chocolate was phenomenal and delicious. But let’s talk about the dessert. The chocolate sundae was amazing. It wasn’t too chocolaty. The Caramel Apple Walnut (hot apple pie and caramel) was by far the best dessert I have had in a while

I’d say an interesting restaurant, never knew it was locally in NJ.
Romantic vibes too but the food was solid for sure. Loved the tiramisu desert! Would come back again for sure.

I get very skeptical when the inside of a restaurant is VERY dimly lit. What are they literally hiding? I went on a rainy satuday night without a reservation and was immediately sat in a cave/booth table in the back. I am not kidding when I say this restaurant is very dimly lit. The only sources of light were candles.

Now the food. We had the hummus, the chicken gyro plate and the falafel plate. The hummus comes with something like 8 pieces of pita and was delicious. Both the chicken gyro plate and the falafel plate were gigantic and came with pita and a salad. The dressing on the salad was fantastic. The chicken and the falafel were ok. Nothing special. We had the tiramisu dessert which was great. The price is fine since they give pretty generous portions

Been here a couple of times but ended up here spontaneously with my family that was traveling here from outside of the country. It is such a unique experience. Very cozy and warm inside. Romantic. Wide selection of deserts! We loved it.

Definitely worth going to. It's a very unique dining experience. The ambiance is reminiscent of a high end restaurant, but with a menu consisting of various spruced up cafe foods. Very reasonably priced for the experience. Would definitely reccomend.

ARCHETYPUS NEVER DISAPPOINTS... After a rough day, my boyfriend and I visited to “get my mind off things”.

He was amazed by the “cave” environment as it was his first time coming. I have been here numerous times and highly recommended the gyro platter as it never disappoints. And as usual, it was great.

The server Margo Rodriguez who greeted us illustrated just how great the service was. Amanda- our actual server, was super friendly as well. The service from these two ladies was so phenomenal, that I could not simply avoid writing a great review any longer.

Ambience unique, candle light between the caves, staff, food, quality, quantity- perfect. The food was very well prepared and served great. I was happy to always share and recommend this place to the ppl who wants to go on a date. Even the outside seating between the woods n trees is great. Rare place in New Jersey.

Oh my goodness if you get the chance to go to one cafe in your life, choose this one. The vibe is SO UNIQUE. Maybe because I'm into the creepy/plants/dark theme but regardless it was so nice being there. On top of that the service is 10/10, the dessert was incredibly tasty, and food was also up to par as well. One thing to note though is that when I was here, people were quite loud which was unfortunate since youre technically suppose to use inside voices at your table. (Even says so on their menu)

We had 3 servers at our table and they were all confused, because we ordered with one person, then another person comes and ask if we need anything, then another comes even after we told them we already ordered.

The ambiance at this place is amazing. It gets pretty dark but it gives it more of a cave feel. The food is so delicious and healthy. There’s a variety of options to chose from. No alcoholic beverages served. Plenty of desserts and drinks to chose from. Definitely recommend it for a date or one-on-one.
