Great local place. Kinda rugged and low key. A good family spot. Great experience and food. I would still really appreciate it if the server speaks to me and not just my husband. I am always puzzled as to why they do this. Maybe they assume he's the one who is probably paying the bill so I don't matter? The pizza was great and there was plenty. So we were able to take leftovers home for later.

Great place for prime rib. Hubs had the prime rib and I had broiled shrimp. 9h and steak bites and walleye fingers for apps..Apps were very tasty. Prime rib was very good. The shrimp was a little hard but the seasoning was good. Our waiter (John) was good, didn't hover but you knew he was there if you needed him. Only bad thing is the lighting combined with the small print on the menu made it hard to read. It is very popular so it is noisy in there. Also pay attention to the signs when you arrive the hostess stand is around the back area from the front sign.

Asked local people where to eat recommendations was River Inn and it was really good food. If you are passing here and you are hungry I would totally recommend River InnBar & Grill. Service is very friendly and nice and food is tasty.

I heard this place had the best prime rib so I had to try it out with a couple buddies. Did not disappoint, food was delicious and our waitress was great. Definitely will be back.

Wow! Amazing service. Amazing food. We have a lot of allergies, and they were incredibly accommodating. Highly recommend. They have outdoor seating all year round. They put up little huts with heaters in them. And, there's an outdoor play area for little kids. Phenomenal!

This place is great. Amazing home cooked style food. Only problem is it’s SO BUSY. They quite literally could not be more efficient with their space and have expanded several times, yet, it’s still a guaranteed long wait at premium times. Get there ASAP after work for dinner if you want to ensure a table.

The service is the best and the food is always delicious. So consistent, and so great to kids and families. The only reason I didn't want to leave a review is so less people go and I don't have to wait an hour + for dinner at times.

Our FAVORITE place to eat out in the country. Beautiful drive to get there, too, from New Hope Minnesota! Steak House melt is my husband's favorite with a side ceasar salad... my favorite is the Black & Blue Wrap with a side salad! All their food and beverages are WONDERFUL! A MUST is their Cucumber Press!

We had very good service and very good food! I'm looking forward to going back there! My sister-in-law is gluten-free and likes what they have to offer! Today, she tried the cauliflower pizza, with olive oil, chicken, tomatoes, mushrooms, and blue cheese! She really liked it and told our server they should name it "A Chick's Pizza"! 😉 My brother and I enjoyed the loaded tots and some wings! The tots are very tasty and the wings are good & meaty!

So nice to be able to sit outside and wait to be seated in the winter! Love the fires.

This is a wonderful place to have a meal and relax! My wife and I came here for dinner and loved the service and the quality of the food. The beer cheese soups was delicious and was ingeniously served with popcorn than combined beautifully, the burger was delicious and juicy and the pizza was great and crunchy. The building itself is really cool with the outside fire pits made it cozy and warm. Highly recommended!!!

My husband is trying to convince me not to write another rave review of The River Inn of Hanover because he worries it will encourage more people to eat there and create long wait times. However, they deserve this and more. Not only is the food incredible and something our family, friends, and out-of-town guests always enjoy, but the first-class service and "small town," welcoming atmosphere are amazing. Even if you have to wait for a table, hanging out by the fire pit is sure to bring great conversation with fun people. The entire team there is friendly and genuine; we love chatting with them all. They are very attentive...drinks are refilled before you even realize they're half full. We've had so many things on the menu and buffet and everything has been awesome. Tonight we tried their new seasoned sour cream and WOW! It is the best we've ever had. You get a large serving for $1, much less expensive than at other restaurants and enough that both of us has leftovers for another meal.

Kudos to Jodi and Rick for making River Inn such a wonderful place for our community and for our family to celebrate the end of the school year... and many other occasions over the years.

Mollie was our waitress and she is was great. She was nice, funny, fast, checked in right amount of times, and dealt with my big family haha. Also, super cute place with good food. Only negative was it was a bit cold but still good.

As stated in Tawns review. We did come and eat dinner. Great place great company, wonderful service. Always come back for the friendly fun atmosphere.

The Best place to go. Great staff, friendly, kind, and on top of it all. Food is amazing, never disappointed. We found this place when we moved to Otsego.
They have added a new outdoor venue, and more seating outside.
You have to walk over the Historic Bridge too.

A true hidden gem! Some of the best food I’ve ever had in the north metro. If you go on the weekend, be sure to get there early because the inside tables fill up fast! They’re in the process of expanding and have done a great job of offering indoor & heated outdoor, accessible seating. The meatloaf sandwich is delicious but the sauce has a bit of a kick & if you get the steak sandwich, be sure to ask for some au jus on the side.

When people ask us where to go for date night we always recommend the River Inn! It’s our favorite place to be with such a great atmosphere. We love the outdoor fire pits and different seating options. The service is always fantastic and the food is always mouth watering good! Not sure what to get? You can never go wrong with the GRANDMA RUTH’s GRILLED prime rib and garlic mash or their French Dip sandwich. So good!

Always love this place!! It’s our biking hot spot. Food and service is excellent.

We have eaten here many times over the years and the food is exceptional, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is warm and homey. Probably even go there tonight!
