BayLeaf Redefined Indian Cuisine

Ok.. everyone who loves Indian food that tastes like home cooked food.. then this is the place.. Bayleaf I have tried both brunch buffet and a la carte and loved both .. the gulab jamun was a clear clear winner.. they also had manchow soup , mango Kheer (rice pudding) which was 🤩🤩⭐. That gulab Jamoon tasted just like mom’s food

Lamb biryani and garlic naan were excellent and well priced. Nice atmosphere too. Will be coming back.

After a tiring day at the zoo, we (a group) decided to have an early dinner and chose this place. This place is right downtown so you will have to find some street parking spaces. To start with 5 star food and 5 star customer service. It was not crowded when we got there (during a weekday). We ordered a variety of entrés. I have to say everything was delicious and to top it off there wasn't much delay in getting the food on the table as well. Very neat setup, clean and ambient atmosphere. Kudos to the staff as well. Price you may find a little on the higher side which is expected though for any downtown restaurants.

I love going to Bayleaf, service is always good and the restaurant is very clean and warm inside. I like that I can eat and not feel rushed some of my go to and favorite dishes are the chicken 69, the mango lassi, lamb saag, and garlic cheese Naan.

Everytime I come with a friend I always tell them to start with Buttered chicken. The food here is so good. The staff is very professional. The resturant is so clean. I been to this location many times and today will not be the last time.

The restaurant look clean, classy but with reasonable price. I came in during lunch buffet. I like the fish curry and the lamb curry here.

Customer service is very good. Friendly, polite and respectful.

If you're a Seton Hall student, it's about 10 to 15 minutes walk from campus. Highly recommend this for your lunch break.

Delicious Indian food that reminds me of mom’s home cooked meals. We come here often and tonight we ordered the samosa chaat and black pepper chicken for appetizers as well as aloo paratha w/ raita and chana daal for entrees. Consistently good taste for years. The breads, biryani, and desserts are equally tasty. Highly recommended!

I love Indian food and Bayleaf has the best. The Sunday buffet was unreal. I couldn’t stop eating. The place is clean, the food is fresh and the service is great. The buffet price was very affordable. You can’t beat the food or value.

Such a calm, clean, and welcoming environment in the South Orange Village. I tried Bayleaf for the first time yesterday, and was incredibly satisfied. The food was excellent. The service was so specific and attentive, and the overall ambience was special. Great restaurant and a huge thank you to the lovely staff who served us. Great restaurant and will be coming back.

Went to Bay Leaf for late lunch yesterday and just loved the food. It was late in the lunch hour on a slow day just before 4th of July. We had samosa, cheesenan, black dal, malai methi murg and raita with mango lassis. The taste was heavenly and not too adjusted to American taste but reasonably spicy. Regrettably, we ordered too many things and couldn't finish the curries but would have loved to. Very good value for money.

This is my go to spot for excellent Indian food. I’m so happy it’s less than 10 minutes from my house. Every thing I have ordered here is fresh and tasty.

I mostly order for takeout, love the food, always ready on time. If you want hot and spicy just ask for it, they do a good job. These people are prompt at handling special requests. Only once they mixed up my veg order with some non veg entry but refunded on phone. Five star because they worth it.

Have been to Bayleaf a few times and can truly say I will be a regular. The first time I came in with a few friends who were running late for lunch, but Oscar kept the dinning area opened so we could finish our food. Everything from the food to the management is great. I also like that they don’t dull their cooking to fit the “Indian American” niche for American satisfaction, meaning the food is not bland.

Spacious dining room with good airflow and sight lines, modestly but elegantly decorated. Top notch Indian with a Chinese twist on some items. Very friendly, respectful and attentive staff. Nice job BayLeaf.
