The Door

One of the best places to have Jamaican food. The jerk chicken was spectacular, oxtail and curry goat is a must have. The service was very attentive, they made sure we were taken care of. Can’t wait to come back.

This is the first time I've eaten in a sit-down island restaurant. We started with an Ackee Roll (very tasty and not salty) and Cow Foot Soup (well seasoned and hearty). We both ordered brown stew chicken (savory and tender) with rice&peas. The service was professional and timely. The seating was ample and spacious. There were a couple of large groups, and we didn't feel crowded. We will definitely eat here again when we return to NY.

We took our niece here for her 19 birthday. The service was excellent. Our waiter name was Ramon.
He was very friendly, Best Jamaica food hands down. Definitely recommended.

I had the stew chicken and I am super proud to say it was exceptional. This was done the correct way and no browning added like other restaurants. The server Simone was very professional.

Came all the way from Virginia Beach Virginia to enjoy a meal at this lovely restaurant. The service was excellent. The waitress was above all I was so pleased when she said welcome madame The food was exceptional the best place to eat.

This place has improved over the years. Went for an early Saturday lunch. The food and server were excellent. The place was clean and we had no wait. Everyone was friendly. Breath of fresh air. Hope it stays this way.

I told the server that the menu had sweet chili chicken and I had sweet chili chicken & shrimp the last time I went to The Door with my friend. He stated that shrimp & chicken wasn't on the menu on Sundays. To my pleasant surprise when my meal arrived, there was shrimp added to my sweet chili chicken. I thought that was nice and very accomodating. I'll definitely dine there again. The lemonade, which is really lime juice, is refreshing!!

Friendly staff and delicious meals.

It’s my first time trying Caribbean food and boy was it a treat! I got the fish soup and then the shrimp and chicken. Both were great. Corn bread was included.

Twas the night before New Year Day, my second visit and AGAIN The Door exceeded my expectations... naturally we expect good food but they went above and beyond in food preparation and presentation, their brown stewed chicken melts in your mouth, their Mac and cheese has a grown man taking seconds, their Carrot Milk don't miss!!! Staff is well trained in service and convo (shout out to our server Jordan) and was worth every cent! 15/10 no joke! Well done again

From the time I walked in. The atmosphere was warming and inviting. The hostess was welcoming. compliments to the chef. The food was excellent and fresh, and the drinks were really homemade. The music was nice and Mello. The whole experience was absolutely amazing. I will definitely come again. I recommend the door to everyone. It's a family oriented place filled with so much unconditional love. Thank you so much for a great birthday evening

The food is EXTREMELY good... I highly recommend... The staff customer service is PROFESSIONAL and NICE... The atmosphere is bright and lively and it have a peaceful ambiance...

Customer for years. Ordered brown stew fish and Mac and Cheese. Absolutely DELISH. When I picked up the food I was asked to repeat what I ordered, and the young lady behind the counter checked it while I was standing there. Thank you Chris for always providing quality customer service and excellent food!

I went here twice for my parent's anniversary and my mom's birthday, and the experiences were great. The food was delicious and the waiters&waitresses were very polite and welcoming.

Best Jamaican food in Queens hands down. Nothing compares. Their decor, their staff and food is A1x1000. Keep up the great work.

The food was so good, we ate ourselves silly. I can not say enough good things about the staff! Super friendly! Atmosphere was top notch. Will return next time I am in town.

Easter Sunday was my birthday I was not in the mood for any excitement so my daughter and her husband planned on taking me out for dinner ,she invited some family members to come along and we went to the Door Restaurant. At first we were late for our appointment so we had to wait because the place was jammed packed.Eventually we were placed at a very nice spot,we ordered our meals and was really satisfied with plating, food, drink and the atmosphere. The servers were fantastic, attentive and well mannered.l cannot show all the food because we were sitting in front the food and we are included in the pics.The Door is open for private occassions ,including birthday parties. I definitely would recommend this place to any and everyone. After our dinner, the staff gathered around and sang the happy birthday song and gave me a slice of cake with a lit candle.I enjoyed myself emminsively and had to take the remaining of food home in containers they provided. We had curried Snapper with veggies, rice and peas on the side,my drink was strawberry Daiquiri Curried Lobster with veggies and martini, Buttered Lobster with mashed potato and vegetables, brown stewed Oxtail with rice and peas with vegetables to mention a few .Overall we had a fantastic time and we left stuffed .👍👍up for the servers .😁😁😁😁

My favorite restaurant in Queens, I love all their food. Especially their Ackee & Salt Fish breakfast. I absolutely love their Waffle and Fry Chicken or Jerk Chicken with fruits. This breakfast is a must have and must try. I can't get enough of their food. One of the best restaurants in Queens.

The is the most service I’ve ever received at a Jamaican establishment. It’s not embellished, it’s just good. And the food is even better. We started with the red pea soup and the chicken soup, both were astounding! I knew we were in for a treat when both soups were delicious. I had the curry shrimp with rice and peas and my partner had the curry chicken with ground provisions. We were full after 3 bites. It was all so savory and the right amount of spice. We will return!

I made a catering request for stew chicken, curried chicken, rice and peas, and vegetables to be ready by 4 pm, placing the order at 11 am. Arriving at the restaurant at 3:55 pm, I found my food neatly packed and ready for pickup. The staff was courteous, efficient, and accommodating. The meal was delightful, just as I've come to expect.
