La Villa Mexican and Salvadoran Food

This is my go to place, i live close by here and I frequent it often. The food is top tier and delicious. From burritos 🌯 to burrito bowls 🥗 and the tacos 🌮 🤤🤤😋😋I can eat here everyday but my paycheck won’t allow it😂🤣😂🤣. The service is fantastic, the guy in the front is always so polite and welcoming. It’s like a hole in the wall, a small place is always great why? When a place is tiny the food is always fresh because they don’t have room to store/prep ahead too much things at once. Just saying 🤷🏽‍♀I’ve worked in a restaurant before. The guacamole 🥑 😭, the best I’ve had and I know original Mexican’s😏

I added some pictures, feast your eyes and order some food today. If you don’t like it I’ll pay😂🤣😂🤣get ready to your new life long addiction😋😋😋🤤🤤🤤 so it’s a steak bowl, guacamole, fresh chips “they were nice and warm” then those damn tacos 🌮 Al pastor, carnitas and chicken.

This is the best Latin food in the tri state area.

This local spot has delicious food, friendly service, and is very accommodating to a family. We've never been disappointed and always had a great time. Very reliable go to restaurant on weekdays and weekends, and now they're open for lunch. Just writing this review makes me want to go as soon as they open.

this beef stew soup is just sooooo top tier OMG. Make sure you try this!!!! Food is good, service is so friendly and nice, good vibe and decor. I enjoyed it to the most - it was like a getaway self time treat for me. 100% recommend!!!

Delicious and affordable lunch special, big portions too! The chicken pupusas were awesome, tasted fresh and the chicken was seasoned well. Pico de galo was perfect too. Order it.

La Villa is truly some of the best food I have ever eaten. High quality and super flavorful. Nachos, enchildas, and shrimp in chipotle sauce are some of my favorites. Everything is fresh and made to order. The staff is so welcoming. Love this place, great job!

This place is legit! I strongly recommend stopping by and getting the carne asada Salvadorina (hope I spelled that right). The food is definitely made with pride. Stop by for a great bite to eat, you won’t be let down.

La Villa is the best spot in the neighborhood for Mexican and Salvadoran food. Authentic and well made. You won’t be disappointed. I love the quesadillas, burritos, chimichanga, tacos, and refried beans. The guacamole is some of the best I’ve had in the northeast.

My whole family agrees the food here is great. The fish or shrimp tacos are so good I can't get myself to order anything else, but this restaurant is universally loved in my house. And the servers have always been very friendly. Discovered during covid, so I don't know what dining in is like but seeing the care taken by the staff I would expect it to be good too.

The restaurant is named Guanaticos now, and has been for about ten years. It has great Central American food for great prices. They serve all 3 meals, the decor is very nice, and the staff could not be better. You can order in Spanish or English. You won't be disappointed with anything you try. (They also serve traditional American food, if you really want to get that at an authentic Latinamerican restaurant.)

Definitely the best hidden gem of South Orange. Great location as its walkable from the town center. Our family got a large order. 2 fahita salads, 1 fiesta platter, 1 carna asada fries and 1 burrito bowl. My family and I loved their orders. Service was kind and quick when picking up our orders. Probably the best Mexican food I've ever had, hoping to go back soon.

Churros are a must try! Good food and service

What a wonderful find! I stopped in here today and had the delicious seafood soup - a huge bowl of scrumptious fish broth, with clams, mussels, squid, white fish, crab and lobster, seasoned with fresh cilantro, hot peppers, lime and other spices. And to drink, delicious fresh horchata. Friendly owner, pretty room, reasonable prices. GO NOW!

Best lunch around absolutely delicious

LA VILLA. Cozy Latin restaurant. I loved their food, I had chilaquiles for breakfast with delicious coffee, my wife ordered charro beans, they were all delicious. Our server was well informed, friendly and professional. The prices were good. We returned for lunch order the carne asada, my wife steak tacos and my mother in law a beef soup also my children ordered the chiken fingers and it was full of flavor and very fresh as home made. The flan was the perfect ending. the restaurant and the bathroom were very clean. Very happy with the total experience. We would love to return when we return to South Orange, NJ.
