Spacious, clean and speedy service. I stopped in for a to go drink & the staff was professional and polite.

Stopped here to grab a boba tea and enjoyed the tea fully. I took
A coffee cloud latte with boba. They have a good ambience and indoor seats for dine in. The store looks very pleasant and so are their drinks. Grab and drink and enjoy the Somerville downtown street view.

There's always room for bubble tea!

The Thai milk tea with tapioca pearls is so good! I liked the passion fruit green tea with lychee jelly, but that Boba in the milk tea is incredible! Warm, chewy, and sweet it really what makes milk tea so fun and delicious.

Clean, well maintained, and customer service is friendly and welcoming!

Also they have a bunch of the cutest tea infusers I've ever seen! I almost bought the narwhal one!

We also really loved the jars holding the not boring Boba straws! #iykyk

Next time we are in town, we will be returning for more!

I love boba!! Their boba is amazing, the flavors are endless and the tapioca is always great. The staff are nice, it takes less than 3 min and it’s delicious. My favorites are the brown sugar or the Matcha!!

We got a large Thai tea and a regular passion fruit matcha tea.

Both were great! Service was fairly quick, even with the place being crowded on a Sunday afternoon.

I’d definitely come back again!

Excellent Boba tea! The hot drinks were not an option when we visited but we asked for no ice and the drink temperature was perfect!
The panda boba was great and had a tropical taste. There is few sitting option and you can get your drinks to walk around Somerville!

They have ROASTED OOLONG which makes it my favorite bubble tea place in Somerset! If you like bubble tea then make sure to try them.

I’ve been getting my hair cut down the street for a few months and have made it a ritual to get a drink or two from Grumpy Bobas each time.

My favorite is roasted oolong, a flavor that’s surprisingly difficult to find without going into NYC or the West Coast.

Staff is helpful, drink variations are many and as a bubble tea fan I much appreciated every place that lets you adjust ice, sweetness and milk for applicable drinks.

Completely separately they also have a fun small display of merchandise, both branded apparel and non-branded cute animal tea steepers.

They’ve added indoor seating back in which is nice! It fits their decor, they have a good amount of space for a bubble tea shop, and also guest wifi.

This is my favorite spot for bubble tea!

My go to is their Passion Fruit Matcha with oat milk and boba of course!

The staff makes great recommendations and are very friendly and attentive.

Such a great spot in Somerville. The tea was very rich. They used organic milk that enhances the flavor. Excellent customer service.

My partner ordered a boba tea and I ordered a sugary coffee. Both were fantastic! The staff were pretty nice and the inside was super clean. If I lived in the area I could see myself going here often.

The store is clean and the staff is enthusiastic. There is not a lot of ice in the milk tea, and you can choose how much sugar to add, and it tastes great.

Delicious real bubble tea. The tapioca is always cooked perfectly and the drinks are not deathly sweet. Really friendly service is also a plus.

Interesting variety beyond your typical bubble tea menu. After a short wait I enjoyed a delicious brown sugar boba drink. Thanks to the staff for a great experience! Love the theme and logo too.

My boyfriend and I got the Brown Sugar Latte boba and it was so delicious! I was so impressed because it tasted better than some bubble teas Ive had back home in NYC! The workers were very friendly too!

Been waiting for a good boba place to open up in this area for a long time, so I was excited when Grumpy Bobas finally opened up in downtown Somerville. The staff is always so sweet and helpful and the drinks are delicious. I appreciate that they let you choose the sweetness levels and that they try to use organic ingredients when possible.

I don't know how I even existed in this world before Grumpy Bobas came along. My first love was their matcha lattes with or even without boba, then trying it with sago and boba (a combination they call Panda 🐼) was a whole revelation. From there Ube, Winter Melon and Coffee Cloud became additional favorites. This place grows with you as your tastes grow and you explore the world of high-quality bubble tea. They had an awesome selection of non-dairy milks from day one. Stay grumpy, everyone!

Grumpy Bobas was a much needed addition to this part of Somerset County! At the core, their bubbles (tapioca pearls) are perfectly cooked, tender and chewy. They have a great assortment of flavors to try. With everything being hand crafted (including organic matcha), the prices are excellent! For first timers, boba (aka bubble) tea is a milk/tea mixture with chewy bubbles at the bottom... much like a drink dessert. My family is slowly drinking our way thru their menu, and enjoying every single cup. My recent order was the strawberry kefir with aloe cubes & sago (smaller bobas), and it was a refreshing drink to have during today’s 94F weather. My husband loves the milk cloud tea (savory/milky cheesy cream layer on top of a milk tea)... he describes it as a fine dining dessert experience in a cup. The staff are kind, patient, and very helpful. The store space is modern and inviting, setup like a cozy cafe with free WiFi (if you ever want spend a quaint afternoon there). I’ve been to Taiwan a few times, and Grumpy Bobas tastes just like the ones in TW.

The BEST. Obsessed with this place. Ordered strawberry matcha boba today (pictured). The bubbles are fresh and perfectly chewy here and the flavors are nyc level good right here Somerville. A must try anytime in town. Had the passion fruit matcha too (bottom layer is golden yellow). For all the layered matcha drinks I shake them up. Next time I'll try the probiotic boba drink :)

This Boba is exceptionally good! From having tried many different bubble tea shops this has to be one of our favorites. The boba was also soft, warm and tasty! Great service, definitely recommend! I will be coming back.
