This Elmhurst Queens County Library stands out as a beacon of community and learning, offering a pristine, well-maintained space for patrons of all ages. Its exceptional toddler programs capture the hearts and imaginations of our youngest readers, providing them with a strong foundation in literacy. The children's section on the third floor is a highlight, offering ample space and natural light that makes reading a joy. Adults aren't left out, with a second-floor study room that boasts large, sun-catching windows, ensuring a warm and inviting study environment throughout the winter. This library truly represents the best of public spaces in Queens.

The library is such a modern architecture after reconstruction. It’s very bright inside and provides a good variety of books for readers. There are a lot of books in foreign language as well.

Although the library is clean and comfortable, it's advisable to double-check your headphones for any sound leakage. Everything seemed fine until an incident occurred today. A staff member approached the person sitting next to me, quite irritated, to inform them about the noise escaping from their headphones. I was taken aback, as I was casually enjoying some music while doing light reading. I don't blame anyone, but it's a good reminder to ensure your device is properly soundproofed. On a separate note, the washroom is conveniently located on the ground floor and you can also refill your water bottle there.

This is a wonderful library that is situated in the heart of Elmhurst area of Queens. It is newly renovated with three floors with modern glass architect. There’s plenty of bike racks to lock your bike on and a nice outdoor area where we could sit and read a book. The third floor is where all the kids and teens books are there’s also ping-pong and a recreation center and a adult gathering room as well. On the second floor, there’s video rentals and young adult books. You can check out the books on the first floor.

This library is beautiful, clean and spacious. There is a wonderful garden space and tons of sitting areas. There are classrooms and event rooms for community events. The children and teen sections are separated on different floors so you get a different experience on each. The children's librarian is an amazing and helpful person. Super friendly and shows genuine happiness to have the company and to give help.

I remember being a small boy visiting the old library with my family and thinking how Badly it smelled and how creepy it was. The new library is so beautifully constructed with so much space. Lots of seating, and charging ports so you can charge your phone or laptop. Wonderful selection of books. It even has some interesting old artifacts from the neighborhood and the old library. The staff is also friendly. Love this place!!!

This is one of the best library in NY with modern day technology. The structure is beautiful, very spacious. Many of the employees are friendly, a few not very nice. Unfortunately this place is like an Asian elderly day care. These old folks sleep, eat and sit all day in the waiting area until the library is close in the afternoon.

This library was renovated a few years ago. It is quite a beautiful architectural work. 3 or 4 floors of shelves of books, computers, to work or to do homework\research, sun lit reading areas, a garden area with benches to sit, read, or just watch people go by. .... JM.

I've been to 4 Libraries in this three week span of trying to find quiet sanctuary. I found it here. The users are really there to work 🤫 & read quietly. I recommend this library.

Lefferts and South Ozone Park being the worst for Staff and Users talking loud. Lefferts conversate street market volume.

In essence the staff lack Library Etiquette & standard's. Then passing this onto young adults and children users thus lowering their expected behavioural Etiquette in a library.

Clean, quiet, best place to self study. Close to grocery around. Bright and easy to find ways around. Good books, spacious. Plenty of computers so not a very long wait to use one. Colorful. Overall best library near me.

So far the best library I’ve visited here in Queens for studying. It’s quite spacious, quiet and organized. The personnel is very helpful. One of the things I love about this library is the 2nd floor reading hall’s glass windows used for natural light.

This library has always had such a friendly staff, they are very kind and helpful people that are always giving great recommendations and answering all questions with great attitude. It’s also very quiet and has a lot of space which makes it easier to find where everything is and find a great place to read comfortably.

Newly built and very modern library despite being on the small side compared to the major branches such as in flushing or central. Place tend to be over crowded however, so not a perfect place for quiet studying or reading, but nonetheless a great avenue for borrowing books

Bright, luminous and clean, thanks to this Queens Library branch being recently renovated (spring 2018). Staff are kind and helpful in finding books and other items. Great place to just sit and read. Large area for working on laptops. And there are a ton of outlets ! (But none for usb charging.)

Nice location with large floor to ceiling windows. The bright and open spaces make it a welcoming branch. There are also many spaces to sit and enjoy a book. Borrowing and returning books at this location are also easy with the many kiosks in place.

It took forever to get this new Library open. The design if very open and there's many place where you can sit down and read. The open cube location on the second floor in front is nice. It lets in so much natural light. There's an activity sheet in front and is pretty crowded almost all the time.

This library is very nice but it is used as a Daycare for the asian elderly. Children as young as 6 years old are dropped off from the school bus to the library without adult supervision. The supervisor allow all this nonsense turning a blind eye to it. THE LIBRARY IS MORE OF AN ADULT DAYCARE FAR AS I CAN SEE. THESE SENIORS SPEND 6-7 HOURS A DAY IN THE LIBRARY NAPPING OR JUST SITTING.
