Queens Public Library at Auburndale

This Queens Public Library at Auburndale is one of the better library of the Queens county. It was quiet, clean and well managed. (Also located in a quieter area of Queens, Auburndale/Flushing). The kid section got a lot of books, different topics for different age group children. They also got read aloud books & cartoon DVDs for kids. The kid's section lady/attendant/librarian is super nice with the kids and their parents. Another staff was also friendly.
I haven't checked but I'm sure they have a huge collection of books for teens & adults too. Tables/chairs were well maintained. They also got sofa/couch for relaxing/reading. The computer/printing area is also handy if you need it. Check out was super easy as usual.

I love this library! The librarians and other staff are very helpful and friendly. I have also found some really good picks from the themed staff recommendations that rotate throughout the month. The new books section is also very up to date and I love browsing it to see what piques my interest. Although this branch isn’t the biggest, I am still always able to find something new even outside of the new books section. And having access to the rest of the QPL system makes up for times when I can’t find what I’m looking for. The Auburndale library is a staple in my community! ❤

Amazing, friendly staff. The staff greets you when you come in and they're all so nice to you. The library is well managed and welcomes all people to come in. I live by one closer to my house, but commute to this one because the environment and vibes are better. Thank you for being kind to me

Friendly staff, clean and quiet. A separate space for children that is thoughtfully designed for young readers. You can return books at the 24/7 exterior machines (access by scanning library card). Any books that are taken off the shelf (but not checked out) can be left neatly on the reading tables - they collect data on what was read/looked at.

A first-rate library branch with great staff. Today one of my books wasn't getting checked out on the machine, so the librarian at the front desk helped me get it checked out properly, so all was well. She was exceptionally friendly and resourceful!

Lots of books for kids. It's also close to my work. It's also good for parking. It's nice.

I'm not very sure about the other staff's names, sorry, but they're usually very friendly!!
Sadly I moved to another area, and the library there is not so great.. so I have to drive fifteen minutes to get here!! But it's worth it!!

So I'm saying you should totally come but please don't be too rowdy it's like a (mostly) quiet haven of sorts and there's a Dunkin' Donuts, a Rite Aid, a chinese restaurant, and a pizzeria nearby, all fairly decent, and I just love it I can't I love it so much

Quiet, clean, and for you parents out there with your kids on break for the week: they have game time every weekday from 2pm - 5:30pm during the break (Jenga, legos, puzzles, monopoly, checkers, matching games, etc).

I remember the day it opened back in 1969, after the old library closed down the blvd diagonal from Carvel. Learned how to read from both these libraries. Glad to hear that you are still going strong. Whitestone Thanks for keeping it going. May it last forever.

the Liberian are so good and they are so caring like they ask us if we need help. When ever we need help and we ask them they are always grateful to help us.

Librarians and employees are all very friendly. Everything is nicely organized.

Its a Very nice neat and clean library. They have alot of programs for kids, its free and educational.
