Congregation Machane Chodosh

Coming from Jackson Heights sinagogue as a visit . They welcomed me in and invited me to come more often . I felt warm and comfortable. I will come back definitely to this congregation.

I have been a member of Machane Chodosh Synagogue for the past 2.5 years, and it is not only one of Forest Hills, NY most magical places, it also occupies a special and spiritual place in my heart for me and my husband. Amazing learning programs for all ages. The services are beautiful and moving, the communities and members are warm, and approachable. I feel so grateful to be part of such a community.

I am impressed with the Congregation - it's what I am looking for for! They seem to be warm and friendly.

Three extraordinarily important qualities, when looking for a great Synagogue!

Founded back in 1940, Machane Chodosh translates (I think) to New Camp, New Beginning). Photos of this synagogue are included in the book, "Ten Times Chai: 180 Orthodox Synagogues of New York City."

Old Jewish congregation has a Sunday program for kids so they can learn about their Jewish heritage.

Extremely warm

Particularly favored Rabbi Ganz and Cantor Gaffni. Going back aways...

Good community, convenient location, three prayers a day.

Fine place for a coop board meeting.

Need to vent as my two witnesses to the fact Muriel klein whi is rabbi gang daughters makes comments putting down other people's mothers even though the real mother and sound like their only sin is being an easy target. Thus whole divide and conquer mentality and using easy targets for this is just terrible and a violation of the Torah as we are not suppose to turn parents against children or vice versa. It is internalizing what our enemies think we are and this dynamic especially bothers me as those in my family don't mind being a stereotype and it serves a purpose to upset other jews so you can get rid or competition but it only encourages hatred towards jews and especially to those who are easy targets. Jews are a minority group in the USA and yet my family seems to not realize that. In fact my father dodged the draft hiding behind religion that he was studying to be a rabbi which is untrue and was many years ago and I understand a minority group in the mitary is especially hard sometimes but that is the while point my family picks on their own people who are easy targets when they are behaving to make bigots happy and this whole dynamic in my family I hope changes going forward.
