Blue Anchor Restaurant & Motel Cabins

A great place for breakfast. We came at lunch time for Fish fry. On Fridays they stay open into the evening and they serve fried fish, haddock or scallops. It was delicious and very reasonably priced at 13 dollars. The Alamo is also under the same ownership. They do a great job.

I waited until I’d eaten here a few times to give a fair review. The prices are very reasonable as are the portions. The food 🤤 is consistently amazing. Eggs Benedict were amazing, the sausage gravy and biscuits-also amazing! The presentation makes you feel like you’re at a high end restaurant but then you look around and know 99% of the people eating next to you and realize you are at a wonderful home town diner. It’s lovely to see life being brought back to the area after several places have closed down. Having a breakfast spot was also sorely needed and they definitely deliver here! You really can’t go wrong here!

If we had not googled a place to eat would have never known it existed! But when we went inside...we were surprised. Very clean and love the decor. The food was really good! We had lunch; I had BLT, it was over loaded with bacon and the bread was amazing. We will definitely be back.

I had a reuben and a side of fries. Portions were very generous, the corned beef was sliced thin and piled high with delicious saurkraut and the rye bread perfectly toasted on the grill. The fries were hot and crisp and not thin string fries. Excellent meal at $10 and the serving staff were very friendly. I highly recommend Blue Anchor and the reuben!

I'm a local and eat here often. Delicious food, great service with a homey feel. Highly recommend Friday's fishfry with beer batter.

Update: Since my review above I am very sad to say that the people who were running the Blue Anchor have retired and the place is closed. I hear the restaurant will be opening under new management soon. I hope the food and service will be as good as the previous crew.

This place is a diamond in the rough.Fantastic service,delicious breakfasts and dishes to choose from.Very fair pricing too and in a beautiful location off Route 28 North.Can't wait to try their lunch and dinner menu.

We love the Blue Anchor cabins and restaurant. I've been coming there for years never been disappointed. It's a warm friendly atmosphere Jen and Matt are very nice.

The cabins are really nice with everything you need and the restaurant has awesome breakfast and Fish Fry and Fridays.

What a nice little place this is. I had the Carmel apple French toast and it was just right, not sickening sweet. Great service too.
