A great neighborhood place!

This is our second time at Rincon criollo. We went there after coming back from JFK and we wanted to get some delicious Cuban food in Queens. As always, the service was prompt, courteous, friendly, and attentive. We ordered and appetizer of croquetas which were excellent and we then ordered our entrees of chicken breast, steak, fish, and ropa veja. Each dish came with black beans and white rice plus there were also two orders of plátanos. We finished it off with flan and Cafe Con leche. Everything was delicious as always. Highly recommended.

I arrived 30 minutes before they closed.
They still sat me and allowed me to choose the any unoccupied table. It was very hard to make a decision as everything looked so good on the menu.

I decided to order an assortment of things to try.

Ham croquettes: these were amazing. While fried they were incredibly light and crispy.

Sweet plantains: good not great. The flavor was sweet and the texture was great however they were not hot.

Tostones con ropa vieja: these were a winner. The tostones nice and crunchy complimenting the tender and flavorful roja vieja.

This place is really good I highly recommend.

The food is rich with flavor. The oxtail is stupendous, reminds me of my grandmother's cooking. Paella was delicious lots of seafood and meats. Got to call ahead to order the paella, takes time to cook. Service was great, friendly warm. We had a special birthday celebration as well. Overall great time with friends.

This place is dear to our hearts, we have many happy memories here.

Decent Cuba restaurant. Service is also very good. Comparable to the Cuba restaurants I tried in Miami. I like the sandwich and Sangria very much. The oxtail is also very delicious but a little salty (saltier than I previously had).

Food was delicious it is authentic Cuban Food. I've been coming to this restaurant in all the stages of my life. Ive returned after many with fellow coworkers. I do remember it a bit bigger, I guess your perspective changes from childhood. I order the Shrimp with garlic sauce and rice with black beans, nice portions and price point.
Update 2022: Still the best Cuban🇨🇺 food in Queens, NYC.

Love this place, been coming here for years and it always feel like the 1st time... the birthday dance, that guys is amazing. Super recommend if you want true authentic Cuban food. Just as an advice if your going to order Arroz con pollo (chicken and rive) you have to order it as soon as you get there it takes an hour to cook YES that's right they make it on the spot so just imagine how delicious it is!

Great friendly service. Was in and out in 45 minutes. The food came out within 10-15 mins of ordering and it was nice and hot! The taste and vibe inside feels so authentic and homemade. Esther is such a great host as well as the full team taking care of the restaurant. Everything was amazing from the Maracuya smoothie, cappuccino, their famous ropa vieja to their sweet and soft maduros. 10/10. Came 10 years ago and back for the first time and the food tasted exactly the same. Such a beautiful blast from the past 😋

This is a great Cuban spot. The food is delicious their flan is amazing and the garlic sauce for both the fish and tostones is phenomenal. Best of all the staff were awesome, gracious and helpful

Been wanting to come here for a while now and I finally got a chance to stop by. The food was good and the service was great. I would definitely recommend this place.

I haven’t been to this spot in years. It was a go to place with my family when I was a child. When I went today I was reminded of why. 🤤🤤Their food is fresh, cooked to perfection, & the servers are friendly. My family and I shared grilled liver w. caramelized onions, buttered fish fillet, Wednesday’s Oxtail special, boiled yucca, tostones, 🍚, two servings of beans and salad. The liver was my favorite. The oxtail was succulent. And the fish delicious. (Pics were taken before everything arrived because I dug in as soon as I finished with these 3 pics)

Didn't have Cuban in awhile so stopped by with my bro and cousin to get some meat dishes.

The ox tails were pretty damn good, I snarfed those down along with the garlic chicken real quick.

For sides I recommend the sweet plantains and rice w black beans to compliment the salty meats.

Would definitely go for sure if the traffic and parking isnt bad. 7-8pm

This place is awesome. I've been coming here for years and the food and service here is great! You can't go wrong with anything you choose to eat off of their menu. Make sure to try their lemonade, it's delicious 👌🏼

It’s a Little hole in the wall, Been coming Here for years the food is still delicious, highly recommend it. One of my best plates is the “Paella Valenciana” for 2 but you have to order it 1hr before you get to the restaurant because they cook it fresh & serve it to you in the pot.
The service is also excellent 👍 & they are all very friendly.

Authentic Cuban food - the ropa vieja is delicious and apparently a fan favorite as many people ordered it. I had the special it was steak in garlic/tomato sauce with potatoes and a side of white rice and red beans. The red beans themselves is very reminiscent of gumbo and can be a meal on its own. I will definitely be back.

You'll feel like you're in at home in this gem. Food is absolutely delicious! Chicken sandwich and ropa vieja are well seasoned. Tostones are huge and rice is great. Best part was the hand squeezed lemonade you see the staff preparing and it's all fairly priced.

A beautiful family run business! Met Esther, a sincere hard worker who supports her community with the best Cuban sandwich in town. A great place to stop by and meet new people. One of the greatest if not the greatest Cuban restaurant in NYC. I loved the food in fact I'm craving for more. Very authentic. The vibe is that of a family owned restaurant with very friendly staff. I highly recommend you eat here. I would definitely go back.

An absolutely spectacular meal and service. Highly recommend the house staples - Ropa Vieja and the pork, and definitely have the plantain and the red beans. Deserts are great too- we didn’t even have time to take photos! We were ready to lick the plates!
