The Dutch

Had an epic mother-daughter date night dinner here and it did not disappoint. We each found something we would enjoy, started off with delicious wings (the dry rub was incredible) and pretzel with dips, then could barely finish half our burgers and fries. They were cooked perfectly and came out smelling amazing. Sadly we had no space left for dessert, so we’ll have to come back again, but our server was so sweet and fun and chatted to us and told us about the Beer Club and other fun facts about the Dutch. Great experience here; cant wait to come again soon!

Come for the burgers and beer, stay for the amazing desserts, crafted in-house! Burgers were amazing, juicy, perfectly cooked, and the meat was very tasty. Fries were deliciously crispy. The salad was bright and fresh. We had the Dutch apple pie and chocolate-espresso cheesecake. Both were heavenly and served with homemade whipped cream. We’ll be back!

I love Kate. She was the bartender/waitress/hostess and she was the vibe. She was kind, hardworking and overall made my experience there unique and exciting. I loved the food, the atmosphere and the overall style of the place. Completely recommend. Would go back every time at around the place.

I picked out this place to meet up with a friend I hadn’t seen in years. I’m up by Albany and this was a good half way point. I looked at the menu and decided it would be a good spot. The salt and vinegar fingerling potatoes were amazing. The French onion soup really hit the spot and had the best flavor. I got the crispy chicken sandwich and the sauce on it I would like to order by the bottle. My drink (summer solstice) was really great. The pistachio crème brûlée was also out of this world. Our server Debbie G was literally the sweetest. She made great suggestions every step of the way and you could tell she really enjoys working here and knows a lot about the menu. Her service combined with the amazing food inspired me to actually take the time to write to them and leave this review. Will be taking the drive back down again soon! Totally worth it!

Fish and chips and the blackened fish sandwich was amazing. The blueberry smash cocktail was divine. The batter on the fish and chips was not too heavy or oily! The salad was fresh and vinagrette was perfect. Ooooh if you love fries, these are double fried perfection. Service was super! Staff really cares. Don't forget a selfie by the wall of clogs.

Awesome place! Only been once, but the food was amazing and dessert was to die for. Debbie was our waitress and she was so great, we had a big group and she was super accommodating. Couldn't recommend more!

Having a meal at The Dutch was a delicious experience where every dish exceeded expectations - the truffle fries, the fingerling potatoes, the housemade falafel sandwich, crispy chicken sandwich, and the wild mushroom crostini were all excellent! Although the butterscotch pudding didn't plate as well, it tasted like perfection. The zero sugar cider was probably the only disappointment, but everything else was fantastic!

Spent a few days in Saugerties and the surrounding area and happened upon this wonderful restaurant. The service, food & atmosphere were all so phenomenal, we ended up going there twice!

Taking a day trip, decided to explore the Village of Saugerties… Stopped by the Dutch Ale House for lunch… The barkeep was very friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere was very charming…and the food was absolutely delicious! Will definitely be stopping in again when I’m in town. I would highly recommend this place.

I grew up in Saugerties however, I never truly gained a full appreciation for The Dutch restaurant until I moved away. Every time I visit home, I make it a point to stop there for the eclectic and delicious food menu paired with a wide variety of craft beer offerings.

If you were ever in this wonderful little town, it is worth your time to visit The Dutch!

We ordered Togo and they did a great job all the food what fresh and delicious. The wings are awesome with some spicy great sauce! We were told about 20-30 mins and it was more like 45mins more then expected so besides the wait time we were very happy! Great atmosphere and they get really busy there.

A wonderful local pub with great atmosphere, great food, and excellent service. Our server Debbie was fun and quick. And for the record we definitely know where things are ;) will definitely be back next time I'm up to visit.

Had an amazing lunch at Dutch Ale House! Service was super friendly and attentive. We both got the burger with truffle fries and tried out several of the tap beer selections. Everything was absolutely delicious! Definitely trying the Reuben on our next visit!

I usually have the Dutch Onion Soup (made with beef broth) but the soup of the day (corn chowder) sounded too good to resist. I'm so glad I went for it, it was amazing! And the truffle fries are to die for.

Went in here expecting typical pub fare, but the food knocked my socks off. The burgers (Dutch) were perfectly cooked and juicy, and they came with crispy, perfectly seasoned battered fries (why any establishment chooses regular fries over battered is a complete mystery to me). My kids got grilled cheese and chicken bites. I didn't try the grilled cheese (looked great though, and my kid ate all of it, which pretty much tells you all you need to know), but I tried the chicken, and this even more than the other things blew me away. Somehow the chicken dish on the kids menu had the juiciest, most flavorful grilled chicken I've had in years. Just the right amount of salt and again perfectly cooked - I feel bad for my kid since I ate so much of it. This place is a gem.

Only been here once, but the Reuben, Penguins in Space HPA, pistachio cheesecake, and Debbie’s excellent service made this restaurant a highlight of our group’s weekend. Highly recommend!

Amazing experience! And great food! Our server Grace was exceptional even though it was a busy Friday and was by herself! Would definitely recommend and will definitely be coming back!

Absolutely fantastic. Stopped in for restaurant week, don't typically order restaurant week menus. This one look too good to pass up and I was not disappointed. Service was fantastic the bartender made a drink that was out of this world. Really excellent establishment.

Cozy bar atmosphere with great drinks and food. We've chosen The Dutch to dine in and have drinks fairly often. Today we had Abby serve us. She was fantastic, very attentive, and the food was fabulous. I had the grilled blackened haddock sandwich with a side salad. My wife had the pork loin with slaw and a side salad. Our daughter had their pastrami reuben with truffle fries. My wife had their amber beer, and I had a vodka cranberry. Everything was spot on! And, again, Abby was terrific. More restaurants should have staff as efficient and personable. Highly recommend The Dutch.

Place is awesome ! Right in the middle of town!! Highly recommend the harvest sandwich.. always take half home it’s so much. Love the gravy. Staff is great-
