Toby's Supper Club

This is a classic working mans Wisconsin supper club! It's definitely a must stop on your Supper club adventures! Excellent service, excellent food, excellent drinks. Go early, have a drink at the bar, and chat with other customers. Great environment.

Went to Toby’s tonight for the first time. If you have never been there before, when you arrive go to the bar. You will get a menu. When you are ready to order, tell the bartender. Then a server will come over to take your order. When your salads are ready they will take you to your table. Great atmosphere, the old fashioned was excellent and the prices are very reasonable.

The most quintessential Wisconsin Supper Club. Dark wood panel, red candle holders on the tables, super friendly bartenders, and waitresses. Great food and drinks. Have a Brandy Old Fashioned. I thoroughly enjoyed my cod fish fry with hashbrowns. They give you cinnamon rolls! Tiny delightful pillows of happiness.

Tried this place for the first time last Saturday. Old fashioned were great with plenty of ice. We ordered and about 45 minutes later we're shown to our table. Salads we're fresh. Our meal included a t-bone, tender, and lightly seasoned with a generous serving of steamed veggies. My husband had the garlic and breading shrimp with perch. Both reported delicious. I followed up with a thick grasshopper, creamy and minty. Definitely needed a spoon for that. The prices were very reasonable. Staff was pleasant and helpful.

Walk in front entrance, proceed to the bar and order a drink, receive your menus, wait for a waitress to take your order and seating will follow shortly after. A unique ordering process but with how busy they get I can see how it streamlines things for them. Good business management!

The food and drinks are really well made using very fresh ingredients. My wife and I split the curds which were obviously frozen but super tasty non the less! She had the pike walleye and I had the shrimp and perch. We both agreed their fish tastes the freshest! Seriously though it tastes just like when you catch and fillet them yourself.... Hash browns were very buttery with a nice crunchy shell and a soft interior. Simply perfect. Salad dressing homemade and dangerously addictive. I reccomend the french blue cheese.

Prices were fair and service was acute.

Our wait time was about an hour and fifteen minutes before being seated. Plenty of time to hang out side with a drink and work up a bit of a buzz!

What a Wisconsin Supper club! Tuesday night and busy. 8 great meals included perch, walleye and shrimp dinners. Service was spot on! Family style platters of hash browns and a large vegetable tray. Only weird thing was the men's room. A toilet with no screening faced two urinals...Interesting approach.

Food was great as always, service was wonderful. Down to a science. Able to accommodate a part of nine. Went on a Wednesday.

Never knew what a “supper club” was before I was in the Madison area - super cool family owned spot. You can tell this place takes pride in what they put in front of their customers. If you’re in the mood for a good meal - solid food - local - and a bit vintage - head to this place.

Such a wonderful place! Very filling, full meals, especially the veggies. Great snug atmosphere and reasonable prices. I can’t wait to come back!

This is my second time coming to this place and I tell you the food is just down right amazing. They REALLY know how to make a steak! The shrimp and cod are fantastic as well. The drinks are strong and reasonably priced. My partner loved their old fashioned drinks. Service was prompt and friendly. Everything was brought out hot and fresh. I truly enjoy coming to Toby’s and look forward to coming back!

Scallops were done to perfection. Great job. Steak made correctly. No complaints. Will return again.

It was a fun atmosphere and the food was great, but a little too crowded and the wait for a table was a bit long for us. If you go with these expectations you can’t go wrong.

Very kind waitstaff and bar tenders! Lobster was excellent (this is coming from an Alaskan girl who is picky about seafood). We enjoyed our steaks and cod too. As others have mentioned there is a wait to be seated but the atmosphere makes it enjoyable, as do the old fashioneds ☺

Celebrated an 88th birthday (grandma) here. Upon leaving, my grandma says, "I will never forget this place as long as I live." I have personally reviewed quite a few restaurants of all kinds in Wisconsin. Some good, some bad. This place is great. Katie, our server, if she is a reflection of the ownership and leadership of this establishment, then no wonder they were busy. The atmosphere was very friendly and genuine as if you were a regular. Food was beyond expectations and ordered extra for home. If you are looking for a new place to try, this is the place. Also, the other server that grabbed to go boxes short brown hair. I want to throw a shout-out to as well. Thank you for being a place to get away from it all.

Went for the friday fish fry w a group of 6. You place your order at the bar after everyone has arrived and we only waited about 40 min for a seat. Our food came out very shortly after we were seated. It was all delicious! The wait staff is on top of their game too. The prices were very reasonable. Don't forget a grosshopper!

Total gem. Food, drinks and service were terrific. Great beer selection along with supper club classic cocktails. The perch in particular was delicious along with the sirloin. Many fixins. Would definitely return and recommend. This place checks out.

It’s definitely an experience. Food is absolutely amazing. The drinks are strong. Right of passage: Sweet Old Fashioned. Definitely worth the trip!

My first supper club experience is at Toby’s
and I love it. Deep fried cheese curds was amazing and the fish fries too. First time having brandy alexander and it’s phenomenal. The server was very nice , she deserves a raise.
I think this place is famous because it’s already packed by 5 PM when we got there.

A very popular old style Supper Club! You order before you are seated. When your meal is ready the waitress will come get you. Be prepared to wait but it's worth it!

I was looking for a new supper club to try out so I decide on Toby's. The staff was friendly, courteous, and quick. I ordered the T-Bone steak which was cooked just like I asked. Will definitely be back!
