Just went today, first time in 6 years. Was pleased that the grasses around the stones were trimmed so well. Read a bad review before I went and didn't know what to expect. Pleasantly surprised and satisfied.

Dad is buried here. Usually I have a good visit. This time I was there to see him for Christmas and none of the paths were plowed. Seeing as I was sliding all around, I'm going to say sorry for any graves I may have ran over.

Upkeep has gotten worse lately, but pretty lenient compared to other cemeteries about letting you put what you want and plant live flowers on your loved ones graves. Only thing I don't like is SOME people can have borders, sheep hooks, bushes and some can't. Favortism. That's not fair.

After 10 years of not maintaining the grounds they removed all items from the plots. Such as memorials, crosses and flags and threw them in a large rollback dumpster. The only things salvaged were due to a single person climbing in and retrieving items and stacked alongside a building

Finding out today that the owners of the cemetery went through and pulled all the memorial decorations and just trashed them was heartbreaking and disrespectful. They should have atleast tried to contact the families and ask us to come remove the items instead of trashing them. I have currently both of my grandfathers two uncles an aunt and a cousin biried there my mother and my sister and myself including other family members spent a lot of money to put those decorations on those graves when we were told that we could have so much space in front of the jead stone to do so. I really hope the cemetery admins understand how disrespectful this action was and really hope they find some remorse to apologize to the families of every person buried there what they did is wrong and they should have to pay the families back for all the decorations that we took our time to put there for our loved ones. I will not recommended anyone to be laid to rest at this cemetery after this incident.

Noone could EVER pay me ANY amount of money to do what Obetz Cemetery did. Rules or not. They have removed things that have been on Graves for YEARS. With out notice. I seen one lady say somthing was on her dads grave for 18 years !!! I mean some of the stuff is the only thing these Graves have. I've seen personalized foot stones removed. Things with these people pictures on them. They have removed coins from Graves. (Religious Thing) they EVEN TOOK THE TOYS FROM THESE BABIES GRAVES. SO SICKING. 😡🤬

It’s very sad that association officers decide without notification to remove ALL memorials placed on their loved ones markers, it’s disgracing to the ones that are buried. Can’t believe they think Holiday decorations would be left for the next 6 months or longer. Also how do they pick and choose as they remove decorations from one and not another near by. VERY DISRESPECTFUL and now I observe them to be lower than the ones buried there! Truly if I had it to do over Obetz would be the very LAST place I’d buy a plot!!!!!!!!!

My sisters buried here and my mom went to the office about her vase being broken, it was hit by the weed wacker but no one seems to know anything and the lawn guy told me he’d take care of it but then told my mom that it was bc water froze in it and there’s nothing he can do. It’s galvanized steel. I’ve never heard of steel cracking bc of frozen water when it’s been flipped upside down in the ground. It hasn’t had anything in it since last summer but I mean if it makes him feel better. while she was in the office they’re was a lady in there that said she came by the office to watch people’s reactions to their loved ones things being thrown away bc she thought their reactions were funny. Shame on you!!! I wish we could go back a few years and choose another option. Not to mention the fact that my sister grave was dug so wide I could’ve fit my car in it and she was put in the wrong spot. Thank goodness our family owns multiple plots and she didn’t have to be moved. If I was the owner I check who was in the office that shouldn’t be there. Definitely Shouldn’t be having friends swing by to hang out to see people’s reactions bc it’s “funny”. If watching others being hurt makes you happy you’re disgusting.

until this year section 23 was not having water problems. Nov.2021 my brother and husband both were buried on either side of my parents. I go there often and was shocked to see grass planted so soon, both graves need to be filled again. There are sink holes in the corners of the grave of my husband. Then it rained, I was mad to say the least, As I walked off the road water was over my shoes. as I walked through the grass I was soaked my brothers grave under water my parents and husband too. I cried so hard. This has not happened till this year. I don't know why, first thought water leak, but, as In looked around it was too much to far. I have had to reset my parents headstone out of my pocket, because the concrete base, they said, was not set right. This is not the cemetery I loved and buried my parents in 2002 and 2010. I am so angry. This should no be happening!!! Obetz is a beautiful cemetery when it doesn't rain. I worry when it happens to me will I float out of the ground. Since I am afraid of water over my head, I pray God will take care of us.

The new owners throw away everything that is on the grave sites very disrespectful. Thanks new owners we really appreciate your business. Find another cemetery if you are wanting to decorate your loved ones sites.

This is now the 2nd time they removed everything off my moms grave . The 1st time everything was broken and they said they removed it because it was in the way of mowers. So we ONLY put things directly ON her headstone after that . Yet it was removed again . TELL ME WHY ?

Have been blowing up on Facebook for taking things off peoples headstones for their loved ones and throwing them in the trash. Disrespectful as can be. Hope everyone leaves a 1 star review.
