I discover this place last June. It is a place out of time, peaceful and interesting to people who love plants and flowers. Great diversity. I went in December to enjoy Christmas decorations: I was tented and I don't regret it 😉

So many beautiful plants, it is difficult to decide what to bring home! The plants are well cared for and very healthy. Chickens roam the farm and happily tend to the weeds. :) Set aside time to explore the grounds and enjoy the experience! There is also a gift shop with many unique items, great for finding those one-of-a-kind gifts for friends and family...or a treat for yourself. I can’t wait to go back!!

Awesome. Great place for local plants and flowers. I have been meaning to leave a review for a while. Staff is very helpful for novice plant buyers to make sure you are making a good choice. Nice store too. Kids loved seeing the chickens running free, but good luck catching them. lol

A charming and gorgeous nook in the southeast Wisconsin countryside. Upon entering the old house, one could feel they are being whisked away to times of simplicity and days gone by. Even if you aren't there to buy, a simple visit is worth the trip.

We love Monches Farm! Especially when they have events! Bought a beautiful fresh Christmas centerpiece. The firepit outside was wonderful. Love all the holidays decorations inside & out. The chickens are always a treat & we got some Kettle Moraine honey from a vendor. Nice!!!

Monches Farm is a unique setting. The planter they sell are of the highest quality. They're grown on site. We have had great success with the plants we have purchased. Which is not to say our Christmas tree is very fresh. A must see location. A drive to get to this location but worth it.

Remember to feed the chickens when you're there. It's one of the highlights for the kids (and the parents, too).

It's a great place just to stroll around and get ideas for gardening and landscaping. They have a bewildering array of things for sale: annuals, perennials, biennials. Mainly flowers and the like, they really don't do shrubs. If you want fancy cultivars, they have them. If you want obscure natives, they have them. And they have a very knowledgeable staff, too. I really can't say enough about how good their team is. I've gotten a few very-hard-to-transplant natives from them (fireweed and sangisorba canadensis) and their instructions on transplanting have turned them into very successful plants. Their lily selection is crazy! Stop by when they're blooming and you'll be amazed how many color options they have available.

My wife loves the gift shop. I'm not much of a gift shop person, but it is a nice store with an interesting array of things.

Also: the experience changes with the season. All (or the vast majority) of their plants are grown in the ground right there. So you can come at any time and see what's blooming and it will be a different look every time. And if you see anything growing in one of their show gardens just ask what it is and they probably have it for sale in the production field. Those walks through the gardens are an awesome way to discover new plants.

I will miss this place! Love, love, love! I was sad someone already purchased a display piece I fell in love with. "SOLD" it said. Beautiful wall mounted iron "ladder" like piece for towels or blankets. If they don't come and get it....let me know!!!!

Loved it! A unique garden and gift center. The grounds are beautifully done. Lots of one of a kind garden fountains. Unusual chickens. Sad that this place will be under new ownership.

This is a very quaint and well maintained nursery/garden center and gift shop. I was very sad to learn recently that the owners are retiring (good for them!!) and they sold the property. The new owners will keep it as their private property. We will miss this place!!

I can't say enough nice things about this place - wonderful people, one-of-a-kind items and great design (or some good ideas to try for yourself). I always find great gifts!

I haven't been here since my boyfriend dumped me 7 years ago! All joking aside, Monches Farm is quite Amazing!
Old farm house, fancy Chickens wander
ing about the Landscape , historic greenhouse and when you see a perennial you like,Dig it out of the Fertile
Erin soil. if you happen to be visiting around dusk during the summer and you here a rhythmic chirping coming from the surrounding trees, Be Still and enjoy the music of the native Tree Frogs , also referred to as "Peepers'
And if you by chance find a very old red handkerchief ( possibly being worn by one of their pet dogs?) It is probably mine .I lost it last time I was there (7 yrs
ago). It belonged to my late Father and was a simple, but precious item I kept when he passed away.

PS; the old house used as a gift shop is the best place to find unique presents
& as you are leaving the property, take a
Left and explore the meandering, winding roads of Erin and don't forget to visit HolyHill(2nd highest point in South Wisconsin).

It's closing June 30th, so it doesn't matter what a review would do. I'll sadly miss them, I loved the plants here.
