Great place to have an event, wonderful food, amazing drinks and great service!

Lobster roll ( gluten free) to die for. Best ever. Beautiful place, extremely clean.

I recently had my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary at the Avalon and I was extremely impressed with the level of service we received. The event coordinator Rachel was extremely responsive and helpful with all my questions and the event Manager Tina went above and beyond what was expected to insure everything was how I wanted it. She even stayed late to help us set up the night before! And she stopped by during the party to give my parents a card and me a treat which I thought was unbelievably thoughtful! The wait staff was extremely professional and attentive. I was thoroughly pleased with the whole experience and would highly recommend this venue for your next party/event.

I've stayed weekends in the rooms at Avalon many times and I'm always impressed! The front desk, to restaurant staff and gym/pool experience has always been tip top! They recently added an outdoor pool/spa that is breathtaking as well! The food here is incredible and room quality is great! Stay the weekend or Staycation the week, either way you will be impressed. Lastly the fitness center is great, with all new equipment and something for everyone! Love it here!

Every time we go it's an absolutely fantastic experience. They're very accommodating and the food is phenomenal! My wife and I were able to order and eat food at the bar and enjoy a cigar in the lounge and play chess. Very relaxing. What a great way to end the work week! I'm glad that we're members.

Great fun at the New Year's Eve party. Leather & Lace band was excellent. Food fantastic.

This is the third year in a row I was part of a 24 player golf group that stayed at The Grand Resort. The 3-day package the GR put together for our group was very reasonable. We played Squaw Creek and Avalon Lakes, 27 holes per day. The courses were pristine and greens were fast.

The rooms were very nice, and included a breakfast voucher. I highly recommend The Chop House, which is a high end steak restaurant located on the property.

The staff was great. If I could take a 1/4 star off it’d be the slight shortage of servers. But they do manage to get everyone served and food is very good.

Love the Roman bath, cigar bar, Gatsbys. Best upscale place around

My golf group just stayed at the resort and played three tracks. Avalon Field Club at New Castle was first, Squaw Creek was 2nd and we finished up at Avalon Lakes on Sunday. All three tracks are championship courses in perfect condition tee to green! Squaw is my favorite.

The resort (hotel) was awsome!!! Several pools, live entertainment, great food and generous wine pours all at a resonable price. The package was $549 per player for 2 night's stay and three rounds of golf. I would highly recommend this place. In fact we're going back in August and already making plans for June 2024.

Very elegant. The pool area puts one in the mind of a Roman coliseum area, elegantly lighted in the open air. It was very clean and although there were many people there, it was not overcrowded because it is very spacious. I had delicious appetizers and hostess, waiters, etc. was very attentive.

My wife and I decided to go have lunch around the pool at The Grand Resort in Howland. It was amazing. We were greeted by Noah, our server who suggested a delicious Mojito for me and a refreshing summery white sangria for wife that were both just perfect. My wife ordered the Chicken Hawaiian sandwich that came garnished with a pineapple slice, lettuce, cheddar cheese and a unique sauce. I had an Angus burger that was very unique also and done to perfection. We sat under the canopy next to the pool where at least 30 to 40 people were enjoying the water. We stayed for a second round of drinks because we just didn't want to leave! So enjoyable! Our server, Noah was perfect and a manager, Corey came by frequently to make sure everything was excellent. It was. Can't wait to go back. Thank you to all the staff that work so hard to make a great experience.

What a wonderful spot, so many nooks and crannies to explore, not to mention all the beautiful pools and different elevations in the atrium. Great crowd Friday night, food was a little slow getting out but we intended to stay for a while, the band sounded great had a wonderful time!

Absolute fabulous facility. Owner of adjacent Avalon Golf course acquired this quant hotel and invested over $60 mil into it. In the winter you have the option of the indoor pool or the outdoor Roman baths. Multiple bars & dining facilities, large cigar room, fitness and spa facility, and many other things to do. Will definitely return for a weekend out of the house.

May I say best experience I have had in a long time!! I did try a manicure today I did re book another service.. Dori is a great manicurist personality is on point... so happy I went.

This place is unbelievable. The pool area is unbelievable—has to be the best in Ohio. The golf and facilities are fantastic. The service is great; while other places seem to be struggling for employees, Avalon doesn’t seem to be! I’d be a member if it wasn’t 90 minutes away…

What a great day at the grand resort... Perfect weather, Crowds of happy people who are back to to "normal" and delightful company with my friend and others around us. Just watching the children dive off the board into the pool for 5 hours was therapeutic!
