Grand River Wildlife Area

Grand River is a beautiful showcase of Ohio wildlife. Great for birding! Rustic nature walks and hunting. It is very big. I recommend getting a map before you venture out there or down load the ODNR app for the area layout. It is not what I would call a recreational park.

We've shot at the range and done a bit of small game hunting here. Easy access and not overcrowded. Thank you for public hunting lands!

Great experience, strict rules but since ether were uniformly enforced it actually made for a safer more enjoyable experience.

Best shooting range in northeastern ohio, has a great handtrap, pistol, midrange and longrange , and archery range. Great one place that has everything.

I highly recommend this range! The staff is very knowledgeable and very safety oriented. Someone is always available and always watching to ensure that everyone has an enjoyable and safe experience!

Tired of shooting indoors? Come here and enjoy being outside and not feeling rushed by hourly range fees.

Honestly, this place does not deserve 5 stars. I give it anyway because the employees are only playing thier hand well. This is government land, they have specific rules. It's good they have these rules. Sometimes there are customers who do not speak English. So enforcing strict range rules is a must have. I feel the yards are placed accurately, as opposed to other businesses which are more ambiguous. It's national park land that's rented out to us, 5 dollars this is great. Structured and organized place. Very clean.

Went to the gun range. Don't go before getting your range permit ahead of time. There is no store here so don't expect to be able to buy things like ammo or targets here. They don't even have tape or staplers here so make sure to bring your own. But very laid back, no real range officer, at least not a formal one. Patrons call their own cease fires. Great range, though - 25, 50, 100 yards. Secluded. Well with it.

It was a great day to spend some father-son time at the range.

Surprisingly quiet for the day after thanksgiving!

It's an outdoor range (25, 50, and 100 foot). Each area has a covered portion to protect from sun or rain and an uncovered area. Plenty of parking. Got a one day permit at Dick's Sporting goods. Everyone was considerate and followed safety rules. They do have an out house. I brought a small cooler with soft drinks and I seen others bring thermoses with coffee.

Love going out here to the shooting range, 25 50 and 100yd ranges, cool laid back no hassle and usually a bunch of smart common sense responsible shooters. Make sure to bring a paper target, some tape or something to hang it, and plenty ammo

Great place to go and target practice . With handguns and rifles. Shot guns as well . Very clean and comfortable atmosphere. Different yard lengths for long or short practice. Outdoor range only. Porta pottys on the site. There is also an attendant on duty to explain all the rules .the dos and donts . You can go to Walmart and get a yearly pass for 20 bucks. I think a day pass is like 5 bucks for the day. It is a good place to go. Us shooters don't really have many outdoor ranges to go to anymore without paying an arm and a leg for an hour of practice..

Beautiful wide open prairies. I just wish there were more hiking trails.
