Decent size park. It seems more like a metro park. The trails are well maintained. You can choose from a variety of trails that go through the park. There is a shelter house, permanent restrooms, sledding hill, playground equipment and plenty of parking.

Super nice trails. Depending on the trail, you may be under full green canopy trees or out in the meadow. The longest trail is not on the map yet but it’s pretty rustic, 95% full canopy, and unpaved, but nicely packed with a good handful of fell trees across the path and a really nice run. You can make a decent 2-mile loop out of the new trail and the pheasant trail.

Beautiful place to walk and enjoy nature, this is a medium park where one can easily complete a 5k without looping on yourself, there is a great set of trails that connects and a sled riding hill as well. This park is nice during all seasons. The addition of the mindfulness reminders along the path are very nice.

Wonderfully maintained and very dense woods that makes it quite a bit cooler on even the hottest days. As with other preservation parks it is wonderful that many species of trees and other nature related things are marked with signs.

Great trails through Gallant Woods, particularly hike the "cross country skiing" trail. Lots of downed trees cross the path and it would seem to be much easier in hiking boots 😉😁😁😁

Its a beautiful park, but the woods are swarming with mosquitos and there is lots of mud, so be prepared for that.

Great sledding hill! Kiddos had a blast and people were so civil! Hooray for humanity and outdoor play.

Beautiful park with gravel paths, decently private and a great place to walk the dogs without worry of crowds on a Thursday evening.

Really an amazing place, there a multiple looping trails through a variety of habitats and each is more spectacular than the last. I especially enjoyed the Acorn Trail, it winds through a large Oak forest and then curves back across field and into a smaller but equally impressive maple grove. Along the paths there are flora guides with tree names and leaf diagrams, and at the trails heads there's a lot of information on Vernal ecosystems and wetlands. Anyone and every should visit and learn here.

My kids and I volunteered here for a Trick-or-Treat kids event . We had never been to the park. They had decently clean facilities, plenty of parking and nice paved trails to walk. We will be going back for sure- it's worth the drive.

Love the trails here. Very diverse areas at the same park from woods to prairie, playground and indoor bathrooms are nice. You can walk or drive over to the farm from the main park. **Pets are not allowed at the farm. There they have pigs, sheep, chickens, a pond, trails around it all which connect to the main park on the opposite side of the road. There is also a historic house on the farm that is open mon-thurs. daytime. Across the road they have an AWESOME sledding hill (closer to the entrance) with two ropes off the backside to repel or climb anytime of year. Three water fountains at the beginning of the main trail entrance includes a doggy water fountain! The butterfly population is the best around and many different types to see throughout the prairie/wildflower area and park. Bird watching here is also good as they have many different types of houses and habitats. The hiking trails have many cool discoveries and mature trees, large vines throughout the woods...very quiet and relaxing place to be anytime of year. They also offer various performances from outdoor concerts to educational programs for kids. Some of it depends on interest, time of year, etc. This is probably my favorite place to go and be in nature. It’s not as big as some nature preserves/parks but has so much diversity inside that you just have to see it to appreciate! If you’re into geocaching there are at least 2 here that I’m aware of..

A great place to get into nature in Delaware. There is a nice trail through the woods that loops back to the parking lot or you can continue to the open pastures and open fields offering natural views of wild flowers. There are many mature trees in the woods. There also is a very nice shelter house and a sledding hill.

Wonderful park for walking, hiking or running. Shade trees and meadows, nice gravel lime like paths. Not very crowded since tucked away. Good bathrooms

Well maintained park and trails. Never crowded. Some trails are gravel, some are grass. Some trails are in the sun, some are in the shade. Nice shelter and clean restrooms. Horseshoe pits are maintained. Something for everyone.

Great place to take my dog for walks/runs. Difficulty is 1/5. Although, there is a trail that winds through the woods that might be a 2/5, only because it has man-made obstacles, such ass log ramps. Also the occasional stump or rock.

Path location; Go through covered shelter (water fountain and history of Gallant), take a right BEFORE brige, Go left at first path. This will take you through a winding path that exits the woods in an open sky path.

Make your way forward, sticking to the right. This will curve around, eventually (1 mile) exiting to where you began.
