Las Peñas Mexican Grill

By the looks of it you would not think it would be good. But it is the greatest food, drinks, people! Authentic and a ton of choices but the huge menu.

My first visit was superb. Birria Tacos was delicious. Price is decent. One slight issue is wife ordered the Seafood Enchiladas Tuscarawas and the menu only mentioned crab meat and not shrimp and she’s allergic. Menu needs updated so definitely make sure you ask what’s in what you order but staff was informed on the situation.

Everyone who works here is so friendly and helpful. The service is amazing—speedy and the food is always hot and delicious. My favorite appetizer is the steak fries. They come loaded but aren’t soggy like you often get at other restaurants.

The atmosphere is what one expects from an authentic Mexican restaurant and the service is outstanding. Our waiter was charming and knowledgeable and exactly the right degree of attentive. The Burrito Tejano, featuring a blend of steak, chicken and shrimp, is out of this world and like all authentic dishes, there is nothing "ito" about it - it's HUGE - and as delicious as plentiful.
I will be be back for seconds ...

Fabulous meal! Prompt and attentive service. My blackberry mint margarita was HUGE and plenty strong. I tried the molcajete for the first time and love it - and it was easily enough for 2+ meals. I'll definitely return.

My husband and I love eating here when we get to Canton. Food is also great.

Me and my friend went to go get those tacos you see all over tiktok and they did not disappoint. Everyone was very friendly and very welcoming. Our waitress was so lovely and very sweet. Will definitely be going again

Best Mexican food around! Salsa is always really good and flavorful, chips are always made fresh. Their birria tacos are the best around! Service is always great as well!

Excellent dinner! Busy as hell and everything was on point. We had barbacoa (drippy) tacos, the special and carne asada tacos. It was all delicious!

Great food, kind staff. After eating at Las Peñas, my family won't eat Mexican anywhere else. So good.

I’m sure there a few good authentic Mexican restaurants in the area, but this is probably the best restaurant I have visited in the USA. I am an OTR truck driver and I also lived in Baja Norte, Mexico for 5 years. This restaurant is in league with the very best of the Baja. Come here when you have a few hours to spend and relax and enjoy. I had the Menudo.

I had the Las Penas Special and it was excellent. We are going to make a few more trips here to tryout everything that looked good on the menu. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I have been coming here for years. They have the best Birria! But I prefer to dine in because the owner and staff make you feel like family. In all of stark and surrounding area this place is the best in NE Ohio
