This peanut shop will take you way back in time, it was actually a fun place to visit. The staff knows is great and you’ll
find the customers are long standing customers and will share their childhood of going to the peanut shop as a kid.

The smell of roasting nuts is alluring when you walk in the door. So much to look at on the walls. Great history, photos, etc. Glass cases full of freshly roasted nuts, but also a colorful array of other types of candy. Take a selfie with Mr. Peanut on the way out:)

This is a wonderful historic business in downtown Akron. The employees are all so friendly. They have a great assortment of candies, and of course all kinds of nuts. My personal favorites are the honey roasted cashews, and all of the spicy nuts. I highly recommend checking this place out when you're in Akron!!

Great place. Been going there for years. Very nostalgic a real Akron gem. Owner Marge is a very kind person. It's like walking into the 1930's. You won't be disappointed!!

Such a vintage and nostalgic feel when you walk in. Old machines on the floor and everyone's autograph on the walls. $5.50 for a half pound of pistachios, the right amount of salt and delicious! Can sodas for .75 and a wide variety of Chocolate, candy and nuts!

Best nuts in town hands down, they have assortments of everything you could possibly want. Being NUTSO for nuts, it brought me to tears.

Large selection of assorted peanuts. Also chocolate covered candies and nuts. Make sure you call them before you go because they don't keep to their posted hours of business.

First timer at this classic joint. Got pecans with cinnamon, pecans with white chocolate, peanuts, and honey roasted cashews. Great snacks as I traveled around and all at a very affordable price!

This place is beyond adorable. The people working here are friendly, they offer a welcoming environment and everything there is far better priced than buying in grocery or other nearby stores.

If you're looking for retro and dare I say.. old-fashioned, their peanut butter is made in house, to your taste desires.

What a great place with a big variety of nuts and candy! We got at least 8 different things to try. Good prices! Oh and the ladies that have owned it for decades are very friendly... loved talking with them! A must stop!

A rare classic! Whether it's the vast selection of different chocolates or nuts, or the old school 'counter weight' scales used, or the 100 year old peanut roaster, this place is a nostalgic wonder. The staff have been there for decades and the prices are fantastic. There are pictures on the walls of all the famous people who have passed through this unique place over the last century. This is a store I stop every time I'm in town for the experience and variety of nuts and candies. One of a kind. You , your parents, or your kids will all enjoy it.

An Akron Icon. Takes you back to the glory days of Downtown Akron. Great gift idea for the holidays.

I took my six children in for a treat after a visit to the main library down the street, and it was like visiting grandma’s house. The proprietor patiently weighed each of my children’s 1/8 lb. choices, then asked me in a whisper if she could give the kids a little bag of free popcorn. It was a grandma-sized “little” (it was enormous). 😂 Then as we were leaving, she asked if they could all have an ice cream sandwich “on the house!” Gracious, kind, generous, unique—a real Akron icon.

Best peanut shop I have ever visited. The smell of roasting peanuts is amazingly delicious. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Great place to visit before the holidays and grab some mixed nuts gift boxes, to share with your family and friends. Been going there for many years and we love it.

My grandpa loved this place when he was alive and took us as kids. We still go now because the prices are amazing and so is the staff. They are such fantastic people. I started buying all my dried fruit and nut from them and make special trips. Im trying to make it a weekly outing for us. Hopefully, the awful construction can finish at some point to its easier to get here!
