Motel 6 Petersburg, VA - Fort Lee

This by far is the cleanest Motel 6 I've ever stayed in. When traveling with my dog, I stay at Motel 6 often, because there is no fee. I have stayed at maybe 30 different ones on the east coast. The minute I walked in, I knew something was different. Ashley at the front desk was very warm and welcoming of Me and my dog. My room was very clean, and smelled amazing. I will stay here again with or without my dog. Good Job.

First, to those that complained the water isn't hot enough. The water temperature had to be turned down because of too many complaints of the water being too hot. Next, if you have a problem with your room, tell the front desk and like with me, they will HAPPILY put you in a better room. Finally, those that complain the desk clerk isn't at the desk all the time. This is because the very same person that cleans your room IS the desk clerk! This is done to keep staff minimal so customers don't have to be charged more money like at other places. As for staff being outside chatting and such, those people must be gone because all I saw was older, mentally mature staff. Mojo (my little doggy) and I had GREAT time there, the staff was super friendly, Mojo had fun playing with the night security's dog and the treats the nice lady at the desk gave him. I found the water temperature perfect, the room was super clean, even behind the fridge and bed headboards and the pillows were so soft and the mattress was great on my bad back. The bathroom was clean and fancy looking with a nice modern towel holder filled with clean towels. One of my desk lamp lights were out and the woman at the desk brought me one and even made sure it worked for me. Also, despite what reviews say, there was no hookers, drugs or "people hanging out in the halls." The area the motel is in can't be helped, but DO NOT let that persuade you from spending the night here. Mojo and I will be back someday. 😄

My daughter and I needed to stop for a few hours on our road trip to Florida and we stayed here. The woman behind the counter was very polite and professional. We arrived after 12 am on June 1st and she was able to accommodate us. I didnt get her name but I just wanted to add a big thank you to her. The room is always clean and comfortable

The facility was recently renovated. It was a comfortable stay and all of the staff was friendly and outgoing. The motel is not in the best area, but stands out as a clean and comfortable location. The washer and dryer was convenient and I was provided detergent at no cost. There was also an iron and ironing board I borrowed from the front desk. Overall it was a good choice to stay at this Motel 6. The one desk lamp did not work. Internet was reliable.

I was shocked at how nice your motel was. Everything was so clean and nice and comfortable. I encountered 4 of your staff throughout my day (the lady that checked me in, a handyman and a maid that passed by in the hall, and the lady that checked me out), each was very friendly, helpful, and pleasant. I had a remarkably wonderful stay and have already told multiple people about how enjoyable my time there was.

Lately I have been seeing a new girl here and she is just so sweet she makes every day she’s here so pleasing my husband and I love coming downstairs just to talk to her during the night. I think her name was Kayla I would tell the manager how great the service she brings to his foundation but I don’t think any good would come with that so I’ve decided to post it publicly. But as long as she is in this motel my 5 stars will remain!

Hope you get Nina when you stay here. She's on top of keeping it safe. In Petersburg it's a nice enough place to stay. The maintenance man is cool. Good experience.

I came here on 5/20/20 looking for a comfy and clean place to rest with my mom and son, on our road trip from FL to CT. After making a reservation at hotel across the street we quickly canceled it and ran out, as the place looked like a scary movie hotel. After running from that place we came across this Motel 6 and it was a breath of fresh air! The owners greeted us and quickly made a reservation for us for that one night.

To my surprise it was very inexpensive and they were ok with accepting cash payment. I explained I wanted a non-smoking room because I'm with my child and mom and none of us smoke, to what the lady responded that the entire hotel was non-smoking.

The room was absolutely clean, the beds were comfy and we'll made, the bathroom was spotless and we had enough towels for all three of us. The tv had enough channels for us to watch and it had a mini fridge and microwave. The lady was also nice enough to tell me how to get to Walmart, which was 2 minutes ahead and the have an ice machine in the lobby.

I was very very happy with my stay! I would definitely recommend!

Staff was extremely wonderful!!! VERY pet friendly!! My room was clean. I had fantastic cold AC, cold fridge, & unbelievable fantastic microwave!! Bathroom was well overstocked.
The only issue I had was with loud guests above my room. I would definitely stay here again!!

This is by far the nicest hotel in Petersburg. The staff are sweet and attentive. The rooms were very nice. Clean, smelled nice, appliances were spotless. This room is so worth the price. The only downside is the water temp doesn't heat up enough for me.
10/10 would recommend

The manager and the employees were so friendly and helpful, very kind and concerned about our safety.
There was a piercing sound that came from the bathroom and your employee said it was noted by them and they would fix it.
Since it had snowed, and we had no boots, it would have been helpful to have had someone there to shovel the sidewalks.

In my opinion this place is better than a 5-star!
I arrived there late! after 5 a.m.
I had booked a non-refundable room online with Expedia, so it was a little complicated, but the young lady that was working there knew what she was doing, and got Expedia to refund me in full within 10 minutes or less !( Even though it may take some days till it gets back on the credit card,) but Expedia sent me an instant email refund receipt!
I could have chosen to stay and re book,but I didn't as I had an appointment to meet with in a few hours.
The building looks very new and clean,with friendly, helpful staff, all at a great price!
This is definitely the type of place I would drive out of my way for!

Very nice and comfortable motel. Exceptionally clean!!! I cannot think of the front desk clerk name but he was really nice. I would recommend staying here before going to other higher priced hotels in Petersburg, Va. I would definitely give it 5 stars!!!

It was a great stay, the staff was really friendly, the rooms were clean. I called around 3 am for a room for my girlfriend, her cat, and me. The lady was so friendly! The place is also pet friendly too!

This is my second time staying here with my children. This location looks like a dead area, but the hotel is seriously a great find! My husband is at the Fort Lee base, so we visit often. We have ran into some real nightmares! When he was booking our hotel again, I said make sure you get hotel 6!! Rooms are clean, staff is very helpful and friendly, and price is affordable. I'd recommend to anyone.

The first visit was on April 28 thru 30 our daughter passed away in pa and our family funeral home was in Petersburg. The next visit was may 6 thru 9 to bury our daughter. When we checked the lady Luckesha was who waited on us and knew we lost our child. She went over and beyond to help us as much as possible. We talked to me and make me remember all the great times instead of the heartache we're going thru. Then the night shift lady LaToya knew as well and made sure if we needed anything she was there. It's very quiet and clean. The friendlyness words can't describe at all. If your staying in Petersburg va make this your hotel.e

Fairly new hotel , rooms were very clean, staff was friendly , Very good rates, best hotel in this part of town. No Breakfast but that's ok, I would rather stay here and hit the McDonald's drive thru in the morning then stay in the dump down the road and eat there nasty breakfast.

I choose Motel 6 for several reasons when I'm travelling:
1. Pet friendly
2. Senior discount
3. Courtesy of staff.

I've only ran across one that was horrible. Motel 6 in my hometown, Weatherford tx, two years running has been horrible. They even have bad reviews.

We checked in a little early, the lady at the desk was so nice about getting us a room in thirty minutes. The room was clean and nice. I enjoyed my stay.

Me and my family was displaced from home insurance company paid for us to stay here. Awesome staff, Mrs. Renae omg was such a blessing. 6 days was like family. Gonna miss them and I thank them for all the support and help..
