Amazing place! Gorgeous nature, extremely friendly and accommodating owners, and magnificent view! The cabins (very clean and cozy) are 100 feet away from the shore, yet surrounded by huge pine trees giving extra privacy and immersive "close to the nature" experience.

Awesome group of cabins with common firepit area. Owner let us use the barn for a wedding reception. Cabins were clean and nicely updated with friendly staff. Near the water with a beautiful rocky beach. Short drive to downtown Haines.

I visited Viking Cove this past week on a family trip, and I cannot say enough good things about this gorgeous venue! There are several cabins on the property, along with a large barn for workshops and events, and an absolutely stunning main house, where the owners will host dinners for their guests with almost 360 degree views of their beautiful property. We had 8 adults and each couple stayed in their own private cabin, with comfortable and modern amenities. Our cabin was attached to the public amenities for everyone's use (sauna, several showers and restroom), and it was all impeccably clean and centrally located. There is a community fire pit that we utilized every night (using freshly chopped wood that the owners keep fully stocked and easily accessible) to hang out together and make s'mores while we took in the stunning views of the water and the mountains surrounding the cove. We were also a two minute walk to the beach of the property where we fished, crabbed and kayaked (supplies which were kept in a convenient barn close to the beach area). During our trip, we took a quick day trip to Skagway from Haines, spent some time hiking and seeing the cool things that Haines has to offer, and was only a 30 minute flight from both Sitka and Juneau - both doable on day trips. If you're planning on holding an event here, your guests will have plenty to do without having cabin fever too much "together" time, all while being able to provide them with a unique and intimate experience. Of all the little towns we visited, Haines was definitely our favorite and Viking Cove offered the best amenities, we highly recommend it it!
