Alpenglow

This pizza is incredible! The crust is the right combination of crispy and chewy. Super tasty toppings. We had 4 pizzas for 3 adults and a hungry toddler. Not cheap, but if I was going to pay this much for pizza it would here!

The pizza here is the highest of quality, and so is the staff! Really enjoyed the variety of pizza that is offered here, not to mention the great service and conversation that chef Austin provided! When you walk in to Alpenglow Pizza, be prepared for some serious pizza. Dough is delicious and toppings are fresh!

Great place to stop in for pizza. The pizza is hand tossed and very fresh. Pizza was delicious. We got the pepperoni pizza. One pie was enough for 2 -3 people. The Parmesan cheese was kept cold in the refrigerator like it should be !! Thanks for being food safe. This place does have high chairs for small children.

What would Haines do without this place!? I never want to know! Alpenglow makes such delicious pizza that my husband and I have to hold ourselves back from going there 3x a week. I’m gluten free, and the whole Alownglow crew is so accommodating toward me. Their gluten free crust is so good that I’d go so far as to say it’s the best I’ve ever had (and I’ve tried a ton of them). Thanks guys!!

Alpenglow has some of the best pizza I’ve ever eaten. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is always awesome. 10/10 recommend.

This place was amazing. Who puts honey on pizza? They do and it tastes great. Had a pizza and a small walnut/goat cheese salad with fire strawberry dressing. Portions were large and extremely fresh. I would highly recommend this eating experience.

I’m not in Italy this place has no business being this darn good. I can’t stop thinking about their ‘Fungi’ pizza! ‘Papi chulo’ is really good too. And the folks who work here are some of the kindest people in Alaska.

This is the best wood fire oven pizza I've had in a long time!! We also tried their lunch Menu Sandwiches, which also gets heated in the wood fire oven. Highly recommended this place when visiting Haines. 👌

Awesome pizza, awesome people. It can take some time but definitely worth the wait. The guys making pizzas were super friendly and loved sharing their trade with a hobbyist pizza cook. Overall a super nice spot.

Simply amazing pizza! If you're just looking for an appetizer, their Glowsticks are great! They also have salads if pizza isn't your thing.

Went here in mid afternoon on a week day. Not to busy at that time. We waited about 15 minutes to get the pizza once we ordered but it was worth the wait. Pizza was delicious and fresh.

This restaurant was a gem unexpectedly discovered. Phenomenal food, and truly lovely owners. The crust for each pizza is perfectly cooked and the right balance of crunch, chew, and thickness. The menu is not the stereotypical pizza shop. It’s fun, adventurous, and every pizza (we ordered again after the first and had three total!) was a perfect balance of flavor and completely satisfying. The next time we visit Haines, this will be a staple stop.

Awesome oven-fired pizza for a reasonable price. Counter service with a few tables. Rustic and relaxed atmosphere. Owners are very friendly and make the pizza themselves. Portions are generous. We get takeout from here on the regular.

We enjoyed our pizza from Alpenglow. They were very busy and we opted not to eat it but to come back and carry out. Both the pizza and salad were worth the wait.

We are repeat-customer to Alpenglow Pizza within a short stay in Haines. After 7 years lived in New York City, Alpenglow got us addicted to their pizzas. Not only they have 6 classics, the 10 specialties have mouth-watering and creative combination of ingredients. Very grateful that they have a half-and-half option so we can taste 4 of the 10 specialty pizzas. Aside from their pizzas tasting amazing, the setup of their inside decor and outdoor garden seating area show the owner and staff put their hearts and souls into this place. This is the # 1 reason to return to Haines, AK!

Alpenglow is my absolute favorite pizza place. Their pizza always makes me happy with its perfect crust and delicious toppings. The owners are amazing people that are always so sweet. They make you feel welcome every time you stop in.

Very good authentic pizza. Huge salads. Never disappointed coming here.

Under new owners and went for lunch on Easter Sunday. Their soup and sandwich is very good. Sandwiches are a toasted sub. Awesome!
