Trevilian Battlefield Trails and Park

This is in Louisa, VA. About 13 + miles of ridding and lots of great areas to move out on. But be aware, during summer this place has deer flies galore, you and your horse would be chase by these flies and they pack a punch when they bite, it is NOT fun.

Doubles as a horse trail... look down now and then! And double up on the bug spray in season. But wow... beautiful woods, marked trails, history there and in the surrounding area. Nearby Louisa has small-town food and services.

Hello, I would like to ask if the trails are expected to be open thos year on Memorial Day given tree damage experienced earlier this year?

I also see a number of posts saying it is open to the public on Sundays. Is this the current status? Thank you

Good and somewhat rugged and un molested battlefield. Not sure if plans are in the makes for signs and more explanation of the actual battle but I hope so in the future. Horse friendly and I'm fine with that. Just watch out for horse chips!

Really enjoyed the day ride by horseback with friends, very nice trails and they were marked very good!

Trails are decent,would like to see some rest benches for any older trail walkers to enjoy the trails like some other trails I have walked.

Really don't understand why an empty parking lot and hiking trail is only open part of the year. Especially in Virginia, this is the nice time of year for hiking!
