Tavern on the Green at Spring Creek Events

We went on a Sat night when there was live music, Centerline Band. The band was excellent & the waitstaff even remarked that Centerline Band was one of the best they've heard in years. If you can catch them, stay & enjoy!

Ambiance was excellent with a gorgeous view of a small lake. Indoor & outdoor seating was available. It was a gorgeous afternoon/evening so the outdoor seating was at capacity.

We had the beef tenderloin special, which was amazing & surprisingly affordable. I highly recommend & would definitely come back for more!

Very good selection of beer & cider on tap!!!

Waitstaff was knowledgeable, polite, & professional. Please tip them well!

This is a restaurant at the Spring Creek Country Club. It is open to the public. I've had the club (shown), burgers and wings. All were very good. Prices area reasonable and the view of the golf course is lovely. You can eat outside on the patio with your dog! And...burgers are $9 on Wednesdays. There's also a nice beer and wine selection and happy hour. Unpretentious, quality and value.

Our children treated us to a 50th Anniversary brunch. The staff went out of their way to provide both breakfast and/or lunch items. The young lady waiting on our group was very friendly, helpful and very pleasant. Good was very good. Thank you.

We did the Easter brunch here with a party of 10 of three different generations of people. It was a buffet at a good value of a price compared to other locations nearby especially in Charlottesville. There was a great assortment of food. Everything tasted homemade and took simple things to the next level. Soft drinks weren’t included in the cost which I thought was odd. Otherwise, it was a great experience and everyone seemed to have enjoyed themselves.

We ate lunch at the restaurant, nor an event. The menu is fairly large and reasonably priced. The food (burger and sandwiches with sides) was excellent, as was the service. We'd called in advance on a drizzly day, and arrived to find an outdoor table dried off and set for us, as requested. An enjoyable experience, we'll be back.

My recent visits, the food has been fantastic! My daughter and her date had dinner there before they went to Homecoming and said the food was great! So happy to have such a great place in our back yard, thank you Chef Krystal and staff!

We had a graduation family dinner celebration with 20 people here Sunday evening, and everyone gave it rave reviews: the location, the service, the food. We had appetizers and champagne out on the beautiful patio. Could not have been a better experience. Thanks to Skip and co. for being so great!

Food and service were excellent and it’s always a pleasure talking with Skip. I hadn’t eaten Skips food since he left Lake Monticello. ( Probably 2 years). Skip remembered my name and a lot of things about me. Our waitress kept are drinks filled, and preformed flawlessly. Great company, food and drinks. We will be back.

We arrived 15 minutes before the kitchen closed. The staff couldn't have been more frienfly and accommodating. They didn't rush us! The food was fantastic. We'll definitely be back!!👍

Skip Alston puts knowledge and heart behind his cuisine. We were at Tavern in the Green for a fundraising dinner and auction, last night. Skip, always positive and delightful, greeted us, old friends, amidst the business of feeding around 100 people through a pasta station and salad bar. Pasta cooked to perfection, just barely al- dente, wonderful red and white sauce with sauteed onions, mushrooms, peppers, chicken and sausage. His ranch dressing seasoned perfectly with light flavor, my favorite was the vinaigrette, not too vinegary, slightly sweet, salad with paper this sliced onions.
The banquet hall beautifully decorated with tuile draping small lights around the ceiling, had lovely views of decorative stone walls and patios mixed with views of Spring Creek's award winning golf course.
You cannot go wrong with Tavern in the Green. An escape from reality in the middle of rural Zion Crossroads.

Consistently great food. Especially seared ahi tuna, grilled salmon and grilled shrimp. Burgers great too. For brunch gotta love the benedicts. Beer cold, V&T stiff. Staff pleasant and accommodating.
