Rhett's Bar & Grill

First time visiting after living nearby for nearly three years. It was really busy on a Friday evening, but we were seated right away. It was much brighter inside than we expected and has nice nautical-themed decor. Service was good, drinks were good, food was good. Couldn’t ask much more for a local restaurant. Glad we tried it and happy to have another option close by.

The food here is great. I had the Rockefeller oysters , bang bang shrimp , lobster dip , wings. . All were amazing . Will definitely return 😊.

This is our second visit, first time was for lunch. This time it was for dinner. Food was great but our server Josh was outstanding and very personable! It was very refreshing, we will be coming back for sure and hope to have Josh as our server everytime! Rhett you have a good one treat him well!

Dinner entrees are a bit price-y but everything else was fairly priced and came with sizable portions. Had the Coconut shrimp platter and Fried Green Tomatoes appetizer based on the recommendation of our friendly server, Stephanie. She also helped us with picking out our drinks. Service was fast and we felt well-attended to.
They have indoor, outdoor, bar, booth & high-table seating with a covered patio, tvs, and corn-hole boards.

Delightful food and service. Our waitress was on point! She was able to give us her opinion on just about everything we asked about on the menu. The wings were delicious and juicy 😋. Nice portioned plates. New Yorkers don't play about our food and this place did NOT DISAPPOINT. Great atmosphere and the cleanest women's bathroom I've ever experienced lol 😆 I'm thankful and appreciative.

First time we visited. The food was amazing. The ahi tuna was cooked perfect and the shrimp tacos were the best I have ever had. Jennie was our server. She was very attentive and super friendly. Awesome job to the staff for a very excellent meal.

To start off, this was not initially the planned place to stop. However, it is well worth a visit. Price wise, I will say is better priced and better deal then a Red Lobster visit (previously a cook for them). They have a large selection of drinks, cocktails and beer. The food was absolutely delicious. The service was awesome. The food was fresh seafood that was super juicy, great flavor, and tender enough to cut with a fork with no rubbery to the seafood. Again was a great experience.

Fast, friendly service - crab dip with blue corn chips was delicious, peel and eat shrimp were perfect (plump and tasty), cod basket was lightly breaded, flaky and awesome. Second visit, will not be our last!

Like everywhere, prices have gone up - but still worth it! Amazing waitress today (Kaitlyn, if I recall correctly) - backed up by a lightning fast food runner. Food was hot, cooked to perfection, and plentiful. It also looks like they are back closer to full staffing.

Still highly recommended.

Delicious. From start to end, our experience at Rhett's was fantastic. The service was excellent.

The drinks were well made. I had a Bloody Mary, which was perfect. Two olives, a celery stick and rimmed with Old Bay seasoning. Doesn't get any better. My wife had an OBX Colada, which would have made me jealous if the Bloody Mary wasn't so good.

I hadn't had She Crab soup since we were in the Outer Banks. This was worth the wait.

For an appetizer we had the fried calamari with marinara sauce. It was made to perfection.

For the main course we both had the Gulf Shrimp and Grits. The shrimp were huge. Tasty too. It was so good I didn't want to stop but, I was very content. We took enough home to share another meal.

Seafood restaurants are tough to come by in central Virginia. Rhett's is a great addition to the community and based on the number of people in the restaurant, I'm not the only one who thinks so.

Came here to celebrate Father's day 2022. Staff are great and food is delicious. I especially loved the Bavarian Soft Pretzel appitizer and the Creme Brule. The signature She Crab soup was also so good. My crab cake sandwich and fries were also tasty. I would definitely eat here the next time we are in the area.

Went to eat with my wife and another couple. Very good food! Fried zucchinni appetizer is my wife's favorite, but i prefer bottle caps (they finally have them again!)
Best food in the area. Great selection, from seafood - tuna sandwich w bacon is the best! To burgers, to chicken, and salads.
Highly recommend it!

Ahi Tuna Sandwhich and Sweet Potatoe Fries were perfect. Only I could not finish it all! Enjoyed the Bold Rock Green Apple beer as well.

We mostly do take out and every time the food is great.

This last time we dined in on the side porch. The atmosphere was great and the staff were super friendly even though they were a bit understaffed.

The rueben is delicious.

there's a reason the parking lot is almost always full.. very good food, fast, great hospitality, nice menu. Nice homemade tartar sauce. Coleslaw is a little spicy but we will adjust & will be back!

I enjoyed the fried cod for a late lunch/ early dinner. For an appetizer, we got the crab dip, which was phenomenal! This is a clean business with clean restrooms. There are a bunch of tasty looking desserts to choose from but I was pleasantly full from my meal and passed on dessert. I will definitely come back here again.

Recently visited Charlottesville for an academic ceremony for our eldest at UVA. Only hotel available was right next door to this restaurant, Rhett's, and so we chose to eat there out of convenience. What a wonderful accident, to have stumbled upon such a fantastic eatery! Great selections, and all satisfying! We were so satisfied the first night, we returned the next day for a birthday 🎂 lunch as well. Highly recommend!!!

Excellent food and pleasant atmosphere. Met here for a business lunch and all members had a very positive response to the food quality and service. Cajun Chicken Sandwich was very crisp and flavorful. The shrimp tacos were thoroughly pleasurable. They also do a very good job with their sweet potato fries. Didn't expect that, when I ordered, but very good.
I look forward to coming back to try other menu options.

Thus by far, is my favorite food establishment in the Central Virginia area. Rhett's menu has so many different dishes that consume your taste buds instantly. One of my personal top favorites is their duck dinner but so many other options fall very closely in line. Known for amazing seafood dishes which are hard to get thus far inland. I'd definitely give a 10 out of 10 stars overall rating. Excellent job!

I went to Rhett's during lunch time.. Very pleasant experience.. my second time there.. as usual very good service from being seated, ordering from the menu, attentive hostess/waitress to a quick turnaround in getting our order.. the food was delicious and tasteful..

Burger was amazing. Ordered takeout and while waiting every server walking by asked if I had been helped-- even the owner (or manager). Super friendly and diligent staff (although it could have been because I was waiting with my 5lb Chihuahua). Pup loved the burger as well and wants to go back tomorrow. Thanks!
