If you are by any chance in Wythevile, VI , you should try the local specialty > Skeeter’s world famous Hot Dog. The place is located on the center opposite to Bolling Wilson Hotel. There are open only from 11.00 to 15.00! So plan Your trip properly. I recommend “build-your-own” option, so you can pick exactly what u like!

This historic eatery is the perfect place to enjoy an All American Hot Dog! The layout and decor hasn't changed much and there are lots of antique items to enjoy looking at. The hot dogs arrive on a perfectly toasted bun. Small Town Main Street America lives on at Skeeter's!

While in Wytheville, VA one of the first things we did was stopped into "Skeeters" for a "Skeeter Dog" Ranked in the Top 64 Hot Dogs in America in "Everyday with Rachael Ray" Magazine, we had to have one! It was great!!! The building is a simple corner joint that has nostalgia galore! Sold for a nickel back in the day, the price has changed, but the hot dogs are the same! A fun (and yummy) stop!

This place is delicious. While road tripping through the area, we and friends stopped for lunch to see if the dogs really were as good as they claimed. They were so good that we timed our trip home to hit Skeeters for lunch again 4 days later. I could easily eat 2-3 hot dogs.

Hotdogs were great! Stopped in on our way through town for a quick bite and so glad we found this place. Nostalgic decorations on the wall, friendly staff, and good food. What more could you want?

Great nostalgic place to drop by for a good hotdog and fries. The servic was great with very friendly staff. We ate at the counter on the red swivel stools that so many others have used before us. Great trip back in time for all of us!

This is the cutest hotdog shop. It's almost 100 years old. It's full of antique memorabilia from the area. Employees were super nice and the hotdogs didn't disappoint. We had skeeter dogs and a basket of fries.

Got the Skeeter dog and fries. Every time I come through Wytheville at lunch time I stop and get one. The ambience is great.

World Famous hot dogs, do I need to say more? Almost at 100 years old, this little gem is a must go for great dogs! If you haven't had a Skeeter-Dog, you haven't had a hot dog!

This is exactly what you would hope for when you walk into a vintage diner. There were many types of dogs on the menu. We tried 3 and enjoyed them all. The sides are generous, the service was attentive, and the price was great. The historical mementos are a definite plus. We would definitely go back.

Excellent food. A skeeter dog classic is amazing. However a classic BLT is also great. Thank you ladies

So I’d like to consider myself a bit of a hotdog connoisseur so in staying the night in Wytheville, this was a no brainer stop in for me and my gf. I have to be honest, the hotdogs aren’t the best I’ve ever had but between the price, the toppings, the friendly attentive service, the prices and a bit of Americana nostalgia, I have to give this a 5 star rating..it’s a must stop in and have a sit and try something on the menu kinda place. Outdoor seating is available but I recommend the diner style barstools myself!

Awesome historic spot with great food at great prices. The toasted buns made the "umburgers" great, and the chili cheese dogs were great. They are steamed red hot dogs and the chili is delicious. The family size fry fed all 5 of us easily. They were out of "baby coke" bottles this time.

Definitely worth the stop instead of the regular fast food joints along Rt 81. Walking through the door was stepping back in time. Simple hot dog fare in an old diner with a nice historic vibe. I expected the chili dog to be good and it was. The fries were surprisingly good.

It was like taking a step back in time to enjoy the simplicity of a perfectly smoked hotdog and Slush Puppy. We were warmly welcomed and had great service. We felt a sense of pride and got to read up on the history of the place. Recommend!

Great food, Awesome employees and atmosphere. We ordered BLT sandwich, BBQ sandwich, couple Big Tex Dogs and a couple Skeeter Dogs. Oh and a basket of fries. We left full and satisfied. Next we want to try their breakfast menu.

Jumped off the interstate to get lunch. Skipped the fast food places came upon Skeeters. Good quick lunch. The fries were delicious!!

Great hotdogs for cheap. Honestly really good pick me up on a long road trip. Had the cheese dog. It's cheese sauce, mustard, onions, and chili. Very delish and the place has been open since 1925. They have kept that charm and I love it!!!! Def will be back.

Good hotdog and fresh fries. The service was quick and friendly I loved the decore.it was fascinating looking at all the period items It really is like taking a step back in time.i really liked the atmosphere The location is nice. It was nice being so close to other touristy stuff like museums and antique stores I would definitely recommend this to anyone vacationing here
