Carroll code enforcement placed a notice of violation warning on my front door for violating the no vehicle parking in roadway ordinance. I was very confused when I received this warning as none of my vehicles park in the roadway and none of my immediate Neigbors do also. When I called to figure it out I spoke to Chris Benefield, the person who wrote the warning, and asked why I received it, he advised that he got a complaint on one of my neighbors and saw a few cars in the roadway and decided to give a notice to everyone on the street. Instead of addressing the issue with the people who may or may not have been in violation. When I asked about the procedure he said he had a right to put notices on everyone’s door whether they were in violation or not. I asked to speak to his supervisor Koni, not sure of spelling, she was very rude and talked over me at every turn, and couldn’t answer Simple questions like what’s your procedure to enforce a violation, and kept telling me she and her code enforcers don’t get paid after 5pm. When I asked to speak to her supervisor she hung up on me twice. This office is very unprofessional and lazy, not willing to do the job properly to actually enforce violations but want to generalize and criminalize every tax paying citizen as they see fit. H

All of them should be fired . As of now, this post will stay up until I get some answers.
