Walkertown Community Park

This park has two baseball fields, a walking track, a soccer field, a very nice shaded playground and a large picnic shelter that is beside the restrooms. There is also a sand volleyball court. Playground is in good shape and my toddler enjoyed climbing on the rock wall and playing the connect 3 game. It's not completely fenced in but is in a safe area so kids can't easily wander off.

I go every weekday for a least a two mile walk, the track is well maintained and always nice folks there , playgrounds for the kids ballfields , tennis courts , soccer field , it’s just very nice place to get your mornings off to a great start with some exercise. I highly recommend it.

Beautiful, well maintained park. Enjoyed the walking trail and trails through the woods. Sparkling clean restrooms.

Walkertown Community Park has the best public walking/running dirt tracks in the Triad. Unlike similar public dirt tracks, WCP's dirt track is relatively flat and well maintained (3 laps = 1 mile).

Fyi, walking/running on a dirt track provides much more cushioning for one's feet and joints than paved asphalt or concrete tracks. The downside is that dirt tracks generally require much more maintenance than paved tracks.

WCP also has ample parking and well maintained climate controlled restrooms.

Additionally, there are several baseball fields, tennis courts, a soccer field, covered picnic tables, and a playground. Can't really comment about the quality of that stuff because I only go there for the track.

Went to park & walked around the track with my dog on a leash , great surface to walk on (crusher run & sand ) friendly people of all ages enjoying the park .

Beautiful park. The oldest in Walkertown with the newest equipment. Whether you wanna walk or play ball... Swing or take a hike... Maybe have a family get together this place offers it all.

My granddaughters love it, my only concern is the fence facing highway needs to go up for safety reasons.

Loved the shaded shelter. Easy access to rest rooms and play areas. Great place for family reunion.

Great park covered area with tables and open clean bathrooms and a working water fountain. Volleyball net and horse shoe pits and corn hole games. Well shaded walking trail and a walking track out front.

Went to a Sunday Morning Church Service. The park was very nice and clean. It was in a nice and safe area. Enjoyed it and the service.

Very nice park that's been around as long as I can remember (30ish years) and still remains nice and well kept. They need to add another softball field or two on the property as the softball league continues to grow and support the park

Park was very clean. I also want to note that the bathrooms were also very clean and all utilities were in working order. I was impressed with whoever park staff was who keeps this park clean bc they are doing great. I also noticed several ball fields to which athlete's or non athletes can enjoy a nice game of ball. This park was a great spot to stop and have a picnic with the younger kids.

Location was cleaned and safe for my family when I visited. The restrooms were clean as well. Thanks for maintaining the park for citizens like myself to enjoy!

Excellent walking/running track (crushed gravel), play area for the kids, restrooms, picnic shelter, 2 ball fields, soccer field and tennis courts. Plenty of open space to throw a ball, Frisbee etc. Most people pick up after their dogs. Park is well maintained. I haven't had any unpleasant experiences here.

Great little picnic area in the shade. Tables, playground, clean restrooms. At the walking path end of the park. Behind the softball field. Convenient to gas station fast food, but not in highway rush. We often have picnic lunch on our trips to/from Charlotte. Better than sitting in fast food place.

Pretty dope and laid back park. Love coming up here to work out or just relax!

I love Walkertown Park. The play ground is always clean, the surrounding landscaping looks great and the walking track is one of the parks best features.
It such a nice place to visit.

Great 1/3 mile walking track, 2 baseball fields, soccer field and tennis courts. With a nice playground, covered picnic area, restrooms, horseshoe pit, volleyball net and corn hole set up.

Great walking trail, mostly level. Its crushed stone, so it's easy on the sole and doesn't puddle up after a rain. The 1/3mile measurement is pretty accurate.

I love coming to this park. Even though the playground is closed it is such a nice quiet peaceful place to just eve have lunch. And i love my conversations with the Wednesday grounds keeper. He is friendly and kind and super helpful
