Mimi's Comfort Food

Attention! Attention! Attention! There's a new spot in town where the food is hot and ready for your consumption. I found Mimi's by doing a general restaurant search and saw the menu, food pictures, and other reviews and I had to try it! Not only is it freshly cooked upon order, but it's damn good. It's the comfort food that we all enjoyed and mostly grew up on here in the south. Meatloaf, fried chicken, collared greens, Mac n cheese, sweet potato souffle, etc. You want it? Mimi's got it! So go ahead and look at the pictures and menu items and I guarantee you'll be drooling to try her delicious food! We ordered the whole fried wings that came with two choice of sides and the Tangy meatloaf which also came with two sides. We added the pound cake/peach cobbler with ice cream to top it off and Ooooooweeeee it was good. The only take away was the cornbread (we didn't care for it) but it comes with each dish. This is a new spot and black owned. So go and support and enjoy some delicious food!

The meatloaf was yummy, that tangy sauce was to die for, next time I'll ask for extra, the cabbage was very flavorful and the right texture, not too crunchy not too soft.

The pork chop was delicious, I ended up being stuffed and ate the pork chop later as a sandwich with bread, cheese and hot sauce

After hearing all the reviews, I decided to check out Mimi’s and it was as good as they say. I feel bad they are stuck in that awful plaza, because they deserve better visibility. I went in early afternoon for lunch, and sadly it was completely empty. I hope that was an anomaly, as the people were very nice, and the food was good.

Since it was lunch, I wasn’t looking for a huge dinner, but I wanted to try the ribs, so I got the half rack, which was huge and came with 2 sides. I got mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese. The ribs were nice, and the sauce was great. The Mac n cheese was also nice, and the mash was really good. I think if they had lunch specials, they would be packed at midday. The half rack was way to big for lunch, and it’s tough to justify $20 for lunch each day…. Fortunately, this may last me a few days :)

As for the place itself, it is very plain and essentially the same as when Kenny’s was there. Looks clean though.

Now, my only complaint. The cornbread. That was really bad. Very dry and tasteless, but I view that as an extra, but considering how good everything else was, it was an embarrassment to southern cooking.

Oh, the cobbler was AMAZING!

I just went here today for lunch and oh my goodness this food was so delicious. I have been looking for a soul food place for so long but they never have authentic ones in Georgia. The food was so fresh. The wings were crispy. I honestly don't even eat the peach cobbler but this was the best one I tasted the top of it was so buttery delicious. I will definitely be back to bring the family.

This food is by far the best soulfood I’ve had since moving to Georgia two years ago. I had the chicken, collards, Mac and cheese, sweet potatoes and of course corn bread. Everything was fresh and hot and seasoned to perfection. I had the Texas Dust on the side and let me just say next time I’ll get it on the chicken. The owner came out periodically and even spoke with us on our way out. We dined in but I don’t see how taking food to go would be an issue because when I say it was HOT and FRESH I mean that!

This was an experience like no other. Scratch kitchen soul food is hard to come by and Mimi’s sets the standard. You can literally taste the love and expertise. The hands of this kitchen are blessed and the food is phenomenal! If i could give 100 stars I would! PLEASE RUN DONT WALK TO MIMIS COMFORT FOOD!

I ordered the blackened salmon, added shrimp, with Mac n cheese and collard greens. $18.99 for this plate. When I tell you, it reminded me of Sunday dinner. Please support this black owned restaurant. I plan to be back and try other things. Service was great as well.
Side note: their website says they are only closed on Monday’s but it’s Tuesdays as well

For my Mother's Day gift, our Son took me to lunch today at the new Mimi's Comfort Food in Loganville behind the BP @Rosebud....I had the Brisket and Arugula & Griilled Corn Salad which was scrumptious and added the Sweet Potato Souffle!!! Yummy. My son had the grilled chicken sandwich and fries we were both very pleased with the meal.

My 1st experience and looking forward to many more...to honor your name is EVERYTHING.

I normal don’t this but Mimi’s Comfort food some of the best food I’ve had in a long time. Talking bout slap your mama. I might knock her out. Food was so good!!! I definitely recommend and I will be back

Mimi's is one of my favorite places to eat! I eat here at least 1 to 2 times a week. Never disappointed when I eat at this establishment. Love the cornbread, love the home made collard greens one of my personal favorites. Love the fried chicken cooked just right crispy and juicy. Ribs and rib tips fall off the bone delicious. Her smoked chicken wings some of the biggest chicken wings I have gotten in the area, her BBQ and Lemon pepper wings are my personal favorites. Even love her cheeseburger made Mimi's way. I have nothing bad to say about this place everything I have ever tried here loved every bite of it. I don't do a whole lot of sweet beverages, but hell I even like the watermelon ice tea!

Chef Mimi catered the meal for the Repast for my mom's passing. Everyone bragged on the food. Took home to go plates and kept asking me who cooked this food.
Not only was the food delicious but the customer service from a personal call from Chef Mimi herself and the delivery man was ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ too. I'm already trying to come up with a reason to cater again. Thank you Chef Mimi for comforting my family on a difficult day with such a delicious meal.

We found Mimi’s on Google and Decided to stop in for lunch. The staff were so sweet! The food was incredible. I had a crab cake sandwich with the best fries I have ever had! My boyfriend got the Brisket sandwich and he said “ I was down in the dumps before I ate this sandwich. It was life-changing. It’s only going up from here!”

Divine- delectable- deliciousness defined! It was truly a comforting experience.

I found Mimi's on Google Maps after searching for soul food in Loganville. I'm so glad I did! My husband picked up the food and everyone was very friendly! She told him her "chicken was the best in Gwinnett" and she didn't lie! The food was delicious, seasoned well (not salty), and fresh. I wish we'd taken pics before we ate (we we're hungry", but just trust me! We will definitely be back...probably more than we should, LOL!

We happened upon Mimi’s while visiting another establishment. They don’t have a lot of street visibility, but the food was great! We had the smoked brisket and a brisket sandwich. Make sure you get the sandwich with the fried onions! The owner is amazing! The staff is all family I believe and it is like sitting at home with them! I had initially wanted the meatloaf but it was still in the oven. Once it was done she shows up to our table with meatloaf to go! You have to go give her a try!!

Would have posted a pic However we couldn't wait to dig. We said our blessing and the rest is inside a full belly. The food was delicious, they had great music, amd customer service. Definitely the right spot after a nice Sunday morning at church or any day of the week for that matter. Absolutely delicious!

Oh and the cobbler! You have to get the peach cobbler!

They have an event space in the back that will accommodate large crowds as well. I also learned that they cater meals as well. Let’s support this business!

Delicious perfectly cooked fried chicken with a light crispy crusty but the collard greens are the best I've ever had you'd swear an old southern granny made them! The owner Mimi is friendly and a person that cares that her customers are happy with their meals! Already looking forward to going back after I eat the to go plate I bought for tomorrow 😆!

I had to write a review literally 10mins after I tried her food. It is THAT good. The sweet potato soufflé is heaven and the crab cake sandwich…..I had to make myself slow down and savor it because it was amazing. So was the mac and cheese. The food is 120% and we WILL be back. Y’all GOTTA try it. Nobody asked me for this review either, I promise you it’s just that great! The owner is also very sweet and likes to engage with her customers. It is definitely worth it to invest in her business and your stomach!

1st time trying Mimi's. Ordered 2 fried chicken dinners and a chicken sandwich online and picked up. Everything was terrific! The fried chicken was crispy and tasted great. The fried okra, mac & cheese, cole slaw, and sweet potato soufflé were all really good. Food was ready at the exact time, and was still piping hot when we got home. Will definitely be back.
