We love China Star! Their portions are great and will leave you full. The staff is always so kind and helpful! We like the Cashew Chicken Combo and the Chicken Fried Rice! It's super unfortunate that China Star is closing. They have great food and fast service... will miss them!

Absolutely stellar restaurant. I've had about four dishes from here and all are fantastic. The staff are super friendly as well. The food comes out quick too.

They have kept there prices down. Still affordable for families.
And the food is delicious. Ya can go home open the cover and the steam comes rolling out. It's still hot.
I enjoyed it so much I went there the next night to. I can recommend this place to Mom.

Nothing bad to report. Service was quick and correct. Food was hot when served. Tasted just as you would imagine Cashew Chicken tasting. Restaurant was clean and there was a good crowd at lunchtime but seemed to not effect the service or food. If I'm in the are again I wouldn't hesitate to eat there again.

😍 the food! Best 🥡 in Springfield! The food is always made fresh & super clean kitchen! They cut & bread their own chicken fried for each order - you can definitely tell the difference! Sauces are made from house recipes & don't get dumped out of a can or bag. There's a reason why this place has been around for over 20 years!

My husband and I love China Star. The daily special cashew chicken all white meat is fresh and delicious. We get a large plate and can both barely finish it. They cut the chicken and bread it themselves and fry it for each meal so it’s incredibly fresh. The quality is better than most places, so surprised at the descent prices

I have had more than one good meal from here, all of which have been that value priced ones, (entree plus fried rice). However this past week I ordered the combo fried rice, absolutely outstanding, loaded with meat, cut in large, identifiable pieces, along with several whole large shrimp. The smallest vegetable in the mix was the diced carrots. It is NOT loaded with soy sauce, it is rice, meat and veggies. I got 4 meals out of my take out order. The egg rolls are awesome as well.

Love China Star very very much. Their fried rice is super. The food is delicious and price is great! Can't believe we could get such a good deal. Love the owners too. The atmosphere is very quiet and peaceful~ Love their welcoming and fantastic service~

Attention Cashew Chicken lovers!! I have been eating here since 1999. I still love their Cashew Chicken. I have tried the General Chicken and it is good. The egg rolls are delicious. I love how they let you get more chicken or rice if you don’t get the Wonton.

The China Star staff is always so friendly when I come to pick up an order or eat in the dining room. The food is always great. I highly recommend the sweet and sour chicken!

Eat in, or take out. Its always fast, fresh and easy! All your favorite Springfield style Asian delights. Good priced, but take careful note: they are closed on Sundays...so sad I could cry as I stand outside this delightful eatery on a rainy Sunday.

The staff very friendly.... Our first visit to china star.... The food was hot and also decent portions for the average joe... I eat big but im be frugal. Very tasty sauce. The crab rangoon delicious.. The egg rolls were a lil soggy like they had been sitting a min and thrown back in the fryer... Tasty still .. Just would have loved fresh ones. The chicken fried rice was awesome. Will be returning for sure.

Nothing fancy but great food at a very affordable price. looking for some quick Chinese takeout the way it is supposed to be made, these guys are the real deal. And don't forget amazing service.

The "child" portion of cashew chicken is plenty. This place makes some of the best cashew chicken, the fact that it doesn't cost too much is great as well.

Both excellent Springfield-style cashew chicken and nice location in the beautiful southside of Springfield. Last summer, while my sister was home in the Ozarks from Mizzou, the university for which Columbia is famous, she and I stopped by here for a takeout to bring home to our family, so that SHE could enjoy Springfield-style cashew chicken while she was here in the Ozarks.

My favorite chinese place to go to. Cheap and very good quality. I have been coming here for about three years now and cannot say enough good things about the place. Great food. Great prices, friendly and good service. My go to for springfield chinese.
