Joseph who works there is amazing! He greets everyone with such good energy, he is effective in pulling sizes and helping you out. My fiancé and I both love to stop into this store when we fly (which is all the time). The shoes are so light weight and comfy. Def recommend stopping in here

Airport shopping at its BEST!

I cannot say enough good things about the Johnston and Murphy at SLC Airport. Of course, like all retail experiences, it really comes down to the individual who is helping. I had the pleasure of being assisted by Jeremy at this location. I mean 6:30am in the morning after a red eye and this guy is SO kind and SO helpful. After a long day of traveling that kindness goes a LONG way.

So, thank you Jeremy. We love the sweaters and I am grateful for your help.

If you are at Salt Lake City airport - I strongly recommend doing some shopping here. Amazing quality products, clean store (immaculate), and amazing customer service!

Good selection, shoes are unbelievably comfortable and the service looked like it was great, except the well-dressed man with the hipster mustache (I’m assuming is the manager) ignored me 3 times! He was servicing other people when I went in to browse, so that’s no problem not to be greeted. But then he walked directly near where I was looking, still no greeting, another woman walked in and he made it a point to walk up and greet her enthusiastically, right next to where I was trying shoes on, still no greeting or can I get a size. It felt intentional. I asked the second associate who’s name I didn’t get (sadly) if they had other sizes and he graciously answered. But I was annoyed and slightly offended so I left and did not even want to consider giving them my money. I had a long layover so went elsewhere and came back about an hour later because I was still interested in something I saw. The second associate recognized me and was wonderful! But the mustache man didn’t greet me AGAIN. I was the only one in the store. Then another person comes in and he is magnificently professional and attentive with them. Is it because I don’t fit the “look” of the customer? Do I not look like I can afford to shop there? I only chose not to buy because they didn’t have the pair I want in stock in my size, but I’m someone looking to become a customer for myself. If he had bothered, he’d find out I have shopped there for my boyfriend before and he could have tried to get two pairs out of me! I work in luxury retail and train customer service so I don’t tolerate this stuff. I personally did not get a good impression from this location but I don’t feel it hinders my view of J&M.

Mixed emotions on this review. We flew out of SLC, on our way out, we noticed a very nice jacket. On the way back we decided to stop and look at it. Now this was probably like a Pretty Woman moment. Because of the clothing we took on our trip, and coming back to a much colder Utah than when we left, I am sure the associate in the store did not think we could afford their clothing. She sis not even acknowledge that we were in the store in spite of being the only people in the store. We were not spoke to until we told her we wanted to buy the sports blazer. We did buy the blazer ($300). And I must say, I love the purchase. The blazer is amazing. I also love the fact that it has a bib that you can remove for warmer weather or put in for colder weather.

Please take this review seriously. If it was not for the fact that I loved the jacket, we would have walked out due to the service. A great experience requires good product and good service. I am sure sales are more important than an associate looking at her phone.
