Lagoalinda Inn

What a beautiful place to spend a vacation or just a quick getaway! The rustic appearance and the antique memorabilia inside brings some back to a simpler time or others to a time they want to learn more about. The gorgeous views and the evening breeze is the most relaxing place I have ever seen. Mountains surround this heavenly place and the Inn keepers treat you like family! A true treat is Mr. Ted's grits and home made apple butter! You won't be disappointed!

I have been to the inn & lake 3 times now since last summer, each time bringing with me different friends and they are all amazed by this place! I’m hooked & excited to come to Lagoalinda Inn each summer.

We love all the nearby amenities & activities just a few steps across the street from the inn (mini-golf, shuffle board, swimming pool, tennis & volleyball courts too). Enjoyed canoeing, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding & 2-4 mile walk/hiking trail around the lake...

Inn keepers, Mrs. Ruth & Mr Ted are always such gracious hosts who make our stay super relaxing! Stayed in a different room each time I’ve stayed & all rooms are very quaint & clean. Highly recommend it!

The inn is extraordinarily clean. It has a uniquely charming feel to it, perfect for relaxation. The owners are very responsive and accommodating.
The uniquely decorated rooms and spacious, fully equipped kitchen make this an ideal place for a getaway.

For our confirmation retreat Lagoalinda was, and has been, the perfect locale. Walking distance to Shackford and considerably larger than the exterior seems. All of the rooms are themed and adorable, and the porch with rocking chairs is lovely to sit and overlook the lake. The fireplace was perfect for the rainy evening. I love Lagoalinda and hope to continue to be able to stay with each new confirmation class.

Our family has been staying here for years! We have grown to love the Inn and the Innkeeper's like our own home and family. The Lakeview Lagoalinda Inn is in a perfect location across the street from a small park, shuffleboard, tennis, and very close by, the pool and Rose Walk. If you want a private home, the owners also offer quiet Cokesbury Cabin and Junaluska Cabin just steps from the meeting areas and chapel. We love every minute we spend rocking on the porch at Lagoalinda. There is a kitchen and large dining room that makes mealtime a breeze if you don't feel like going out. The large living room gives all of us a chance to make new friends. Each room is theme decorated and tries to hold on to yesteryear with heirloom decor while offering comfortable beds, private bath and free WIFI. Come on and give it a try- my family sure is glad we did all those years ago.

The rustic environment of the Inn is only complimented by the retreat setting of the great smoky mountains surrounding it. Sip your coffee in the morning overlooking lake junaluska on the front porch and enjoy the many outdoor activities nearby. The rooms are clean and the people are all very friendly. Almost feels just like summer camp, but you can still have privacy. Like stepping back to the 1900s. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

The Lagoalinda Inn is by far my favorite place to stay in the Smokies. You can't beat waking up and sitting on the porch enjoying the view with a nice hot bowl of grits! The inn is in such a peaceful location, just a short drive from places I love to visit like Cherokee, Bryson City, and Asheville. I especially love visiting in the fall. Can't wait for my next trip!

I had a great time at the Lagoalinda Inn. The beautiful views of Lake Junaluska made waking up that much easier. It's a perfect location to stay if you're looking to ski at the Cataloochee Ski Area. Also very close to Asheville.

The atmosphere at the inn is like taking a step back in time. Great family environment in a convient location for hiking, Asheville, and Cataloochee ski resort. I Highly Recommend Lagoalinda Inn!

Host and Hostess were truly fantastic.they went out of there way to ensure my wife and I had great time! The places we visited, the restaurants we ate at were amazing!😇definitely recommend you stay here when coming to the mountains of NC.you won't be disappointed for sure!👍

Beautiful setting and wonderful host! Great place to unwind, yet close to lots of things to do.

Comfortable and rustic. No air conditioning, but it's not too hot here.
