EASTSIDE SOUL FOOD RESTAURANT

Wow!! This met my expectations for soul food!! Visiting my friend here Hattiesburg from Texas, we were recommended this restaurant from a friend of hers. I was NOT disappointed. Jerry was super friendly, fast, courteous but the food was fabulous. I had the ribs, baked beans, mac and cheese and cornbread. And the sweet tea!? Wow, perfectly perfectly sweet!
So glad I stopped by here. Thank you!
Oh and the lemon pound cake was delicious too. My friend had their fried chicken, the crust was very, very tasty and seasoned just right. It was super crispy as well. If I lived here I'd probably gain 100lbs just by coming here: they do not skimp on the portions! Lol

Food was fantastic! The catfish, chicken wings, Mac and cheese, yams, and greens were so flavorful. Also received an order of neck bones, which were amazing, so tender the meat just falls right off the bone! The server was so friendly and nice to talk to!

The Mac and cheese was maybe the most bussy buss thing to ever go in my mouth. And the service was so good. Also their toilet seat is like cushioned, and it was so comfortable. 10/10 would eat there again. Y’all needa open one in Arkansas.

The food was amazing and the staff was very helpful and pleasant!!! Baked chicken was seasoned well, CABBAGE was slammin’, cornbread was perfect and not dry. I loved the dessert as well, it was like a cinnamon streusel pound cake. I will definitely visit this place whenever I’m in town. Add this place to your must eat list!!! You will not be disappointed 😊😊😊

This place is AMAZING! Vanesa was open and friendly. Ron was a hoot. And James cooked up finger licking food. It’s a MUST!

I had the greens, cornbread dressing, baked chicken, and cornbread muffin. My husband had the yams, greens, baked chicken and cornbread muffin. We both had the pound cake as well. Everything was so good, the chicken was moist and well seasoned, and you can tell the greens were not from a can, somebody put they foot in that pot. Let me not forget that dressing with the gravy and I don't eat a lot of people's dressing because they seem to get sage happy but OMG!!! Definitely a great spot to get good guy oôm care cooked meal.

Stopped by today and had the baked chicken, rice& gravy, sweet potatoes and cornbread! My God it was delicious!! Saw this place on Waitr and they did no disappoint!! Well be back ASAP !

Love it. Atmosphere is so cool makes you wanna just stay there and smile lol frfr.

Amazing home cooking this place is a hidden gem. Had baked beans , green beans and baked chicken ,wanted to post pics but devoured it too fast .
