I wanted to share this with purpose ! My dental journal has been sensitive, until now ! I had the last of my infected collateral damage extracted yesterday. I had no idea how much anxiety was left in my body until these last 3 were gone. I even overslept this morning. Very unusual for me! I was referred to Dr Graham and it has proven to be the best decision I could have made when it came to dental health. The over flow to my physical and mental health are God winks! The office staff is the best around and Dr Graham's elite ability to serve dentistry leaves me feeling well and grateful. Lahoma, thank u for sitting me down and guiding me with knowledge, genuine care and yes answers, so we could make it happen! I had know idea the difference it would make in my all around life. 🤍

Being someone who has always associated a trip to the dentist with discomfort, I can do so no more - Dr. Graham and his staff have brought this to an end, and I could not have envisioned a better experience. I've always been told you can equate your dentist's expertise conversely by the level of discomfort you feel during and after your visit. If this mind-set proves true, Dr. Graham, Dr. Baker, AND their staff are best in their field.
If I were to summarize my experience in one sentence, I would say, "I can only imagine the level of care I received from Baker & Graham Dental is on par with what other dentist reserve for their immediate family - they are simply the best oral-care provider you will find anywhere."

You’ll have to forgive my longwinded recount of my experience at Baker & Graham Dental, but if there’s anyone out there like me, it bears repeating.

My earliest recollection of going to the dentist was around age 4 - that was 38 years ago. I point this out because for those 38 years the words "dentist" and "pain" have been synonymous. My distaste (pun intended) for these visits caused me to conclude that I wasn't going back unless it was an emergency (i.e. I was in a heck of a lot of pain).

Queue the pain.

Reluctantly, I made the appointment. I’d fooled myself into thinking it could be nothing more than a filling that had worked its way loose or out. I was only partially correct. After an x-ray and close study of the area in question, Dr. Erik Graham informed me that, to deal with the issue simply refilling the cavity would not be sufficient. I needed a root canal. Admit it. If you tell me just hearing those two words don’t cause you immediate fear and/or anxiety, you’re lying.

Up to my visit at Baker & Graham, If asked to give my opinion of any single trip to the dentist, I would have formed my response by three simple criteria:
1. Did something happen during the procedure that took me by surprise or caught me off guard.
In past visits to other dentists, it almost never failed that at some point in the procedure I would get told something was “happening” rather than “something is about to happen.”
2. Did I feel that anything was done that didn’t absolutely have to happen.
3. How bad did this person hurt me.
Up until this visit, it wasn’t a question of “if” I felt pain, it was “how bad” and “how long” did it hurt. Pain free visit at the dentist? Yeah, right. Pull the other leg and it plays “Yankee Doodle.”

Based on those criteria, here’s how Dr. Graham and his team performed:
1. I waited, but it never happened. Not once. This gentleman was clearly born to do this – a consummate professional. Every single aspect of the procedure was explained along the way in a manner that was both informative, educational, and reassuring.
2. See answer to #1.
3. Six hours after I had root canal… ROOT CANAL... I was eating roast beef and corn on the cob and had only taken one aspirin. (I only took the aspirin because Dr. Graham made me take it before I left his clinic.)

If you don’t book your next dental visit at Baker & Graham, you’re doing yourself an extreme disservice. Dental visits don’t have to hurt. Dr. Erik Graham and his staff have proven it. Can you hear it?

Yankee Doodle went to town riding on a pony…
