Dr Amy and her whole staff at Smiles by Design in Kernersville are AMAZING. Ive taken my oldest there for the last 6 years and my youngest for the last 3. I wouldn't consider taking my kiddos anywhere else!!! (The pic is from the visit with my 3yo today)

The Smiles by Design team is amazing! They have their processes figured out (appointment scheduling, automatic reminders, check-in, etc.) and rarely have run behind schedule whenever I've had appointments over the years (maybe never!). As a patient, the touches like having patient chairs that are heated and have massage capabilities help make the dentist a less anxiety-inducing experience. And the staff is so welcoming - it feels like being part of a community whenever I'm there. Great place!

Drs Amy and Meredith are two of the kindest ladies you'll ever meet. Every staff member makes you feel like family when you walk in the door. They love their community and support local causes -this speaks VOLUMES to me! I highly recommend this practice to everyone who asks for a reputable dental office because in my opinion, they are THE BEST.

Smiles by Design is an amazing team from check-in to check-out. I have been treated by both Dr. Amy and Dr. Meredith and both are top notch. The staff is wonderful and everyone is always smiling and in such a happy mood. My only regret is that I did not switch to this practice sooner. It is important to find the right dentist for your family. I will not forget when my son had an unexpected accident when playing football. Dr. Amy Jo Fischer took the time to call after business hours to check up on my son, to see how he was doing. This call was made after office hours, but it reflects the true priorities of this practice.

Smiles By Design has always been my dentist office, but when I moved to Florida seven years ago, I had to find a new dentist. The dentist office in Florida attempted to upcharge me at every appointment, claimed I had multiple cavities, and damaged my teeth when they did a poor filling job- which they attempted to fix 3 times unsuccessfully. I spent a year and a half completely unable to eat on the left side of my mouth when I’d never had problems with my teeth before. The dentist in FL told me the tooth they’d damaged was not fixable, and that I would need a root canal. At the same visit, they told me I had seven additional cavities on the same side.
I came back to North Carolina and saw Dr. Amy at Smiles By Design. She was able to fix the poorly filled tooth (that ended up not needing a root canal) and replaced other shotty fillings as well. There were no cavities. She saved me hundreds of dollars and I have been able to eat like normal again for the last 4 months, which I had truly started to believe was never going to be possible. There is no one I trust with my dental work except for the ladies at Smiles By Design! They saved my teeth and I’ll always make the drive for doctors I trust!

Dr. Meridith and her dental tech Angie are fantastic!!! I am rather terrified of going to the dentist but they were so gentle and kind. Very very patient with me. Dr Meredith had to work on three of my back teeth which are very difficult to work on and she made the whole procedure go so very smoothly for me. The ladies at the desk Cindy and Jill are always so sweet and welcoming.Thank you thank you thank you! I would recommend Smiles by Design to everyone!

If you are looking for a dental team who is awesome, treats you with kindness, respect, great with children, then look no farther!!!!! Smiles by Design are absolutely hands down the best!!!! I was absolutely terrified of going to a dentist! No more!!! Dr Amy-Jo & every one who works there are so patient 🙌 🙏. I thank God every day that I found them over 20+ years ago!

I have been coming here since 2011 and will never leave this practice. The staff never change, so they are like family now. The cleanings are quick and easy and the procedures are painless!! I recommend this dental practice to everyone I know. If you have any anxiety about dentist offices, I assure you, this is the place to go!!

I was very very impressed with this office. I have grown up in Kernersville and always noticed their office across the street from the post office but had not been getting regular cleanings and when I did, was going to another office out of town. After seeing their reviews, I thought I'd give them a try. As I entered, the decor of the place set such a calming tone to an often stressful visit for most! They have beautiful watercolor bird art and their waiting room is elegantly decorated in a classy farm house theme. I knew their building had been there many many years and was worried about their being an old or musty smell as most older buildings have, as I have autoimmune and MSC that make me extra sensitive to mold, mildew and chemicals. I was so relieved that they place smell crisp, no smell at all. It was not covered by overkill of air fresheners or scented candles or incense sticks. (These give me horrible migraines that can last a week but a price I have to pay at most places when appointments are necessary) I was so happy I could cry that the place and their staff did not seem to be wearing perfumes or that there were no scents in the office. Thank you smiles design for this! As so many people suffer from them. Especially when someone is so close to your face for an extended period of time, it was nice to not have to experience migraines or heart issues due to this. The front desk girl was SO nice. I had forgotten my insurance card (this is why I should never book morning appointments- I'm still mentally asleep lol!) And was so so patient with me as I looked my info up online and emailed it to her. She even printed my card out for me and had it ready when I left to have in my wallet for the future! So nice! Lisa cleaned my teeth and it was the most gentle teeth cleaning yet thorough I've ever had. She took bite wing x-rays and I have a VERY small pallet yet she was able to assess that I needed the smaller wings, and took the images without having to do them over and I was so surprised and relieved! My teeth looked so good after my cleaning yet my face was not sore lol! Her personality was so sweet, calming and genuine. Meredith, who is Amy (the owners daughter) who is also a dentist there with her mom (so cool) was great as well. Super kind, and professional. Even checking out the staff made personal conversation and everyone just seemed in good spirits and like they enjoyed being there. I am so happy with my experience and am looking forward to my husband getting his teeth cleaned next! Make your appointments with their office! I'm sure ALL their services are top notch!

From the friendly front desk staff to the sweet hygienist and wonderful Dr Amy Jo and Dr Meredith, we have always had great experiences in this office. The comfortable massage chairs while receiving services is a plus too! The whole atmosphere is very welcoming. I definitely recommend Smiles By Design!

I have been going to Smiles By Design for 23 years and I don’t have a single thing to say bad not even 1! The are gentle and they treat you like family! My daughter is 3 years old and she had her first appointment today, they made her feel comfortable and she had no problem, they rewarded her after a good appointment, I recommend Smiles By Design over any other dentist office, I love them, and will never go anywhere else!

We absolutely love Dr.Amy and Dr.Meredith. Dr.Amy has been my dentist for 29 years and I’ve never seen anyone else. Now my 3 kids also go there and they have seen them both and they do so well when we go! Everyone that works in the office is always so nice and friendly. We would recommend them to anyone 5/5 stars for sure!!

The Smiles by Design team were wonderful to work with. They were very patient with my Mom and me as we worked through the replacement of her bridge. The atmosphere in the office was always friendly and welcoming.

We just moved out of the area (40+ miles away) of the dentist office and decided to stay with Smiles by Design because we love it there. All the ladies are wonderful including the dentist. They all are very friendly and easy going. Love,love, love this place.

Awesome First Experience
When I first walked in to take my seat the office clerk called my name within 5 minutes. Next thing I know, I was getting my teeth clean within 10 minutes of my arrival. Mrs Lisa, Dr. Amy, and her daughter Dr. Meredith was phenomenal. I have already booked three other appointments. Also its important to state that Dr. Amy took the time out to get to know me and have conversation with me before I left. I am very happy with the service I was provided with on today.

I have seen many dentist over the several moves during my career. Dr. Amy-Jo Fischer's is by far end away the most caring, compassionate professional I have ever ised! Dr. Fischer and her staff make their patients feel relaxed, comfortable and cared for.
I would highly recommend Dr. Fischer, Dr. Ward and their staff if you are looking for a great dentist.
