I was on vacation at the Lake cabin. Had an accident that required surgery. Great guy, everyone in Eau Claire and Barron was so nice. Great end to a bad situation.

My daughter at UWEC recently fell while running and injured her foot. We had an initial appointment because she couldn’t bear weight on it. It soon became apparent that something was wrong. The pain was so intense two days later that she went to urgent care. They immediately recognized that there was something wrong and referred her to another appointment so she could get checked out, have an MRI, and look into the situation. Unfortunately that appointment was with this doctor. This doctor was rude to my 22 year old doctor, dismissive, and didn’t even take the time to correctly diagnose what was going on. He asked my daughter, when she questioned why, when the other doctor had wanted an MRI, he refused to consider it “If she was a doctor?” At the initial appointment she turned down pain medication. Since then the pain had increased significantly. If you are a parent you can empathize getting a call from your crying daughter at 11 pm; who is far from a cry- baby. This doctor dismissed her concerns and wouldn’t even engage in the conversation. He accused her of exaggerating and told her to come back in two weeks. And when she asked if she could call me, belittled her because she couldn’t make her own medical decisions. He then told her she needed to go and walked out on her. She called me, and I immediately told her to go straight to the desk and tell them what happened. The Mayo immediately apologized and had her seen by another doctor, who quickly diagnosed severe nerve damage. She had a follow up today, and the doctor was very concerned. Ordered immediate physical and therapy ( starts tomorrow) and submitted MRI request for approval. They believe it is something called CRPS, which is a debilitating nerve syndrome which can be life lasting and is important to treat IMMEDIATELY. These are all true facts. This doctor should be ashamed. I am taking the time to write this so others know what this guy is all about. I will also be following up with the Mayo, and any other place I can to spread the word about this practitioner. I’m not a crack pot. I am a practicing attorney in the Twin Cities. Do not go to this doctor and spread the word.
