Oh yum!! Delicious southern food made be true southerners-you can’t beat it. Loved the brown gravy. I can never make gravy like that. There’s a bunch of desserts I would love to try next time.

Saw this on google search on our way to Myrtle Beach and it looked really unique. Love the 50’s vibe with the country guitars all signed. It’s nestled in a small country town with nice people. Super clean too!

This place is a true gem! The best breakfast and a nostalgic atmosphere! You can’t visit Roanoke Rapids without stopping in at this restaurant.

I really enjoy eating at diners, Oscar's is by far one of the best I've run into along my travels. It has a very cute atmosphere. Our waitress was top-notch, and the food was delicious! My husband and I can't wait to go back!
Be sure to get the pancakes 🥞 😋. You won't regret it.

Yum yum yum! It was one of the best fried fish I've had. Amazing portions and friendly seevices. A must visit! I was visiting from Orlando, and by the outside, I was nervous going in. I'm glad I did.

Went to Oscar's for the 4.99 breakfast, price has gone up quite a bit! Service was perfect, a little bit of a wait. Good food! Met the owner and he was really nice, has an extensive collection of famous guitars that would rival ANY museum for sure!

I had the seafood platter, cheesy potatoes, hush puppies and carrot cake....sooo good. Hubby had the fried chicken, potatoe salad, peaches and coconut cream pie again sooo good. Waitress was excellent, place is clean and decor 👌.

Got to visit and see the autographed guitars. Old fashion diner menu, been in business since 1953, so they know how to cook and bake. Pies and cakes for dessert.

I was passing through and decided to look up a breakfast place in Google maps and they steered me right. I had the house special - biscuits with gravy (melted cheese, tomatoes and peppers with eggs with biscuits and a side of bacon). The service was very sincere and efficient. stop by and check this place out - loved the interior - lots of autographed guitars to check out. I must point out I tried to not take pictures of people there. But is was busy and then it got serious in there when church let out.

A great find during a road trip. Best kind of place to eat breakfast, a local diner. Food was all good, staff all friendly, decor was great. You know place must be good as most people are locals and all know one another. This would be my go to diner if I lived in the area. As it is, will make a point of stopping here every time passing through the area.

Great southern food. The service was fantastic and friendly. The yams are a must. Save room for desert. Well worth going the little distance.

It's been a long time since last stopping by Oscar's. Came in and ordered to go. Sat at counter which was cool. I think the interior has been remodeled. Ordered pork chops with black eyed peas and green beans. The waitress (should have asked her name but didn't) was so friendly and helpful. Answered my questions and offered suggestions. Interacting with her was a pleasure. Haven't had service that good in a long time.
The food was prepared properly and flavorful. Packaging to go was excellent. I've included updated menu.

Went for breakfast with a large party. We didn't have to wait for a table, and the service was pretty quick. The food came out fast and was nice and hot. The portions we much larger than expected, and the food was good.

Very clean restaurant with a Christian touch of good ole Southern Hospitality. Not to mention that the food was amazingly delicious. I will go there again and tell my friends and family "Let's go eat at Oscar's" . I'm a traveling pipe welder and I really enjoy southern cooking. I guess it's because I don't eat fast food. I really hope if you get a chance. Drop in for good atmosphere and delicious food. Oh my I almost forgot. Thier home made coconut cake is so good lip smacking good 👍😊

Oscar's has a great ambiance with the old-school diner feel serving homestyle dishes such as barbecue chicken, fried fish, cheeseburgers, big stacks of pancakes, delicious omelettes, and my personal Oscar's favorite, chicken and pastry. The Wednesday special is chicken and pastry and it tastes just like grandma made it. The pancakes are huge and the butter melts so perfectly into the fluffy stack. Family feel with homemade cooking and a big showcase of desserts to choose from. The signed guitars are a very cool addition to the restaurant's decor.

This is a typical diner with a good atmosphere. The waiting staff were nice and patient with my little ones. We will be coming back soon.

Small town place with big town feel. Had breakfast here and the food was off the chain. The country Ham took me back to my youth. Nice tender and salty. Nice smoke flavor, eggs cooked to perfection and the potatoes & onions we Nice and caramelized making them as sweet as pecan pie. Will definitely eat here again.
