Hilton Garden Inn Roanoke Rapids

Hotel was under renovation but it was still quiet. The area was nice, rooms were clean, staff was friendly. The only thing was that we weren't expecting to have to pay for the breakfast as it was always included in the other hotels we stayed at.

We didn't rent a room but we eat in the dining room for breakfast the food wasn't good at all it nice hotel and the people there were very nice. They need a better chef 👨‍🍳.

Best staff ever ❤👏 they make you every guessed is special. Great service. Clean rooms . Great breakfast.

This hotel was nice and I received great customer service during the stay. My son and I were traveling through headed to the Adidas nationals track meet in Greensboro and were leaving from dropping my daughter off at AIT in Virginia.. we had to rush and find a room somewhere for the night and this was a great in between location… I was a little skeptical after reading the reviews and CLEARLY, the reviews were mostly made by people who just love to complain… hotel was nice, staff were super nice and professional.. it just depends on your attitude, if you’re positive, you’ll have a positive experience.. Also, shout out to the lady who was our waitress during breakfast, she was extremely pleasant and let her know that my son got 2nd and he’s an All American!

Great place if you're traveling with dogs. It is set back from the main road and has a sprawling area to walk. The gym is on point and the indoor swimming pool/hottub was clean. I reserved the room online so I was shocked when it was such an issue to check in at 6pm after driving 10 hours with 2 dogs, no less. The woman at the front desk at this time was not friendly and appeared bewildered as to why she was having an issue checking me in, then acted like it was my fault. She pointed in the direction of our room while I overheard her male coworker very kindly and very calmly explaining all the amenities the woman checking in next to me had access to. Would have been nice to be told about that stuff or some kind of info regarding times and areas where food was offered at the hotel. (The breakfast which I paid extra for was definitely delicious. ) Anyway, we ordered food for dinner at their on site Garden restaurant or whatever it was called. The food was really good, greasy, but good, the server wasn't helpful, I had to ask how long it was going to take because I guess she just assumes everyone wants to stand there waiting the 25 minutes. It was literally like pulling teeth to get ANY CONVERSATION OR INFORMATION out of the employees. Then I ordered breakfast from the most lovely woman. Not sure of her name, but she had so much personality and was incredibly helpful. She was absolutely delightful. This was a great area to walk the dogs and our junior king suite was spacious. It was definitely a great overnight hotel that served us well and definitely a plus to have on site food!

The hotel seems to be the only business on the east side of the exit so it’s very quiet and calm. I believe this to be its finest quality, with a close second being its ideal location for launching the second day of a multi-day trip.
If going north, it provides about an hour’s gentle transition into DC traffic insanity. If going south you’re looking at what’s likely to be a very easy drive.
In terms of amenities, this hotel is like a resort for boring people with very simple needs. There’s a restaurant, a pool/spa, ice cold A/C, breakfast… like gee whiz what more can you ask for right!
Really can’t overstate how much I enjoy this hotel for its slightly above average execution of hotel fundamentals, quietness of the exit itself, and being a great place to stay when you’re on the way.

I do agree with what others have said about the carpets and overall issues of cleanliness. This seems to be the price everyone’s willing to pay for it being a perhaps overly dog friendly facility. Not something I enjoy, but again my needs are simple when I’m staying at a place like Roanoke Rapids.

This place is really awesome. 2 regular swimming pools and a good size kiddy pool. Alot of other features in the center gaming court. Only problem we had was the ICE MACHINE on the main floor didn't work when we arrived. Found out the next day the refrigerator ice machine didn't work either. Reported it on Sunday, the repair man showed up on Thursday. Still down on Friday when we left. Ice maker in room never did work, never looked at.

Nice hotel, everything I expected. The lobby and grounds were well kept and very clean. Staff was welcoming and helpful. Our room was clean and it was quiet at night.

Our stay was excellent before we left before the holidays. The reviews were terrible we read before check in, so we told the lady Jaquel at the front desk . Well, Jaquel made sure she put us in a room that was nice & clean and not run down. She was extremely nice during the check in, and everytime she saw us after that would ask “How is stay”, and for us to let her know if there was anything she could help us with. Germond the night cook cooks amazing dishes and him & India are so nice and provides excellent service! They are the main reasons we came back to this motel after the holidays to stay while we are working here for the next few months. We greatly appreciate their service, they deserve a raise & to be acknowledged for all they do!

Front desk Staff was very nice and helpful. The rooms were clean and smelled flowery . the rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are too .. It was very quiet here and the best were comfortable. The pillows were not the best but im not complaining for the great price i paid. I would definitly stay here again..

This is one of the few hotels along I-95 that accepts dogs. The hotel exceeded my expectation. The room was very clean. The employees were friendly. And you are not going to believe this but the dinner was divine. One night we had steak and another night we had chicken. I could not believe how good the food was! And the drinks and service were impeccable. It was so good that when we drove back through 2 weeks later we made reservations at the hotel. Highly, highly recommend this place.

I had a good time over the weekend here. The Front Managers are so professional and friendly.
There lot of amenities: outside pool, gym, and laundry room cost me only 2.00, breakfast was very delicious, 24/7 hot tea, and coffee, a huge common area, and lots of parking areas, and I enjoyed the grill and the fire pit.
There is also a Cardinal room where I had service with the locals.

Beautiful hotel. Taylor at front desk was so helpful, friendly and amazing. Loved her smile. The breakfast was yummy even though not included. Coffee was really good. Beautiful large rooms, shower was lovely. They have snacks and drinks for sale at the front desk. The pool and hot tub are open. The hotel has lots of parking, we were able to park our truck with large trailer with ease.

I want to thank the manager Josh for accommodating us early and being a great manager. Also to Emma for great front desk service. Great place to stay and will be back!

Lovely stay!!! This hotel although it sits alone, has all the amenities needed to ensure that you are comfortable, nourished and fit! The gym stays open 24 hours, dining at the restaurant is open until 10 pm and the hotel staffs accommodations were impeccable. This by far is one of the best hotel stays I have had in a while. The parking is plentiful, but because of the hotels reputation is always full! It is a pet friendly hotel so if you have pets bring them!

Everything was exceptional!! We stopped late in the evening & they were so accommodating. Brenda at the front desk was so sweet!! All the staff that night & next morning were so friendly. The room was clean and the beds & pillows so comfortable.
We enjoyed the 24 hour pool & hot tub. We will definitely return on our next trip through!!

My husband, kids and I stayed this past weekend and we really enjoyed it! The front desk staff was great shout out to Alicia and Alex! We had breakfast included in our room price both mornings no complaints at all was really good. Ate dinner once at their restaurant and it was pretty good as well! Room was nice and comfortable also love we were able to have our little Molly join us! We’ll definitely stay again!

very pleased with our stay at the hilton garden inn! we were driving from New Jersey to Florida with animals and this was the perfect pet friendly hotel. staff was very kind, i even called ahead of time to see if they had availability and they held a room for us for that night. great location right off 95. was able to get food delivered right to the hotel. pets were comfortable there staying over night and staff were helpful in the morning with a to-go breakfast. quick check in as well. also felt very very safe at this hotel. would stay again!!
