Fun retro theatre with happy-go-lucky crowd and classic style popcorn served. Really cute place and the full service bar in the lobby was a really cute layout, especially for a date. The chairs in the theater were very comfortable and the entire experience had a truly nostalgic feeling to it!

Charming theater.

Let's all go to the movies. Such a throwback.

James and Johns Island wouldn't be the same without Terrce Theater.

Hollywood produces great escapes every now and then. It's fun.

Support your local theater.

Perfect vibe if you’re into nostalgic themes! We went in the late evening! It was peaceful just us and another couple. Concessions were great and fairly priced! This place is like a time capsule. I’m super obsessed with the 1908’s and did theater did it for me! Will be back!

This theater looks small from the outside; however it has several screening rooms, a bar and snack bar. It is charmingly decorated and well-kept. I liked it much better than the chains.

Best theater in town! Love the décor of the building and the theater seats are incredibly comfortable. The snacks and drinks served here are unique and delicious. I am always coming here for indie movies and other fun events that you can't find anywhere else in town.

The only place in the Low Country I will ever go to watch movies. Fun little theater with a great snack bar that has beer and wine as well as popcorn and all the other stuff you would expect

Classic local movie theater. They have 6 individual theaters inside of varying sizes. Food/drink is typical theater prices, but they do serve beer and wine, and ice cream pops. Seating is sloped (not stadium style), and chairs don't recline, but you've got a cupholder and a good view. I would rather go here than a big chain cinema.

When you go in, you've gotta stop by the box office on the left even if you bought your ticket online.

For concessions, with 2 registers, lines can get pretty long, especially if there's sold-out movies.

Parking is shared with the other businesses in the complex and it can easily get full. There's a not-so-secret back lot whose entrance is between Crust and the flower shop--they made it a drive-in theater back there during the pandemic, and you can still see the outline of the screen painted on the building.

The petite theater is wonderful. Clean and the concession stand attended by charismatic folks. Only complaint is the short toilets for tiny people.

Randomly picked this theater to see a movie and couldn't have been happier. This is an old school theater with modern amenities. You will not be disappointed.

The Terrace Theater is a rare gem now that Covid killed Cinebarre. There is something special about this theater that keeps it relevant while others have disappeared. It might be its intimate scale of the space, or the mood lighting of the lobby where you can get a beer before the show. There are free movie posters of movies you never heard of offered to customers in bins, and others that you sort of heard of in bins for sale. The place is charming and a little out of place on the busy road in a glorified strip mall. It gives me hope that the movie theater experience is not dead, and you can still see Rocky Horror Picture show late at night in the lowcountry.

Cute local theater with everything you’d want from a chain but more. Easy process of ordering tickets online and scanning them in right before the show started. They’ll even store your to-go containers if you’re coming after dinner at the concession stand which is awesome. Parking was a little stressful though. The lot fills up fast on busy nights, but there is a lot to the right side of the building that we were able to find a few open spaces.

Always an intimate and charming movie experience. The renovated theaters are comfy, and the wine selection is impressive. Great spot for a rainy afternoon.

💕 My 11 year old nephew and I had a wonderful time watching Polar Express today After the movie, I taught him to play checkers. We played 1 game that lasted over an hour. He’s pretty good at it. OK. He’s real good at it. Lol 😂 In the lobby they had so many relaxing game boards and books and music for the movie watchers. Comfy couches and chairs too. Was just beautiful! We made wonderful memories today and the movie was incredible!!!!

I really like this theater. It’s in a really cool plaza with great restaurants and bars. Being able to grab a beer and wine is a huge plus. Each theater isn’t very big so there really aren’t any bad seats. I just went and saw a movie recently on a rainy Monday at 1 pm and it was amazing. I pretty much had the theater to myself with a double pour of red wine. This is exactly what you want as a neighborhood cinema. Just a really cool little place to get to visit.

Great vibe. Comfortable seats and good audio and video presentation. Prices for tickets and concessions are in line with other theaters. Nice to support a local cinema vs. a large chain.

This theater is great! Tickets and concessions are more affordable than other establishments in the Charleston area; the place has such a cool retro vibe to it. I enjoy making the drive here, its a great place to see a movie and support a local business.

We went for the drive-in double feature, psycho & Shaun of the Dead. The lot looks small, and the screen is the side of a laundromat. But it worked out very well. There were only 8 cars all in a semi circle of the screen. The screen was clear and easy to view, and the sound played clearly. It was fun.

Cons.- Popcorn is very mediocre. It's OK. The sizes for popcorn and drinks are sizes from the 50s, but prices of today. So $8 for a large popcorn, in a medium-ish bag. The concessions are are WAY overpriced for what you get.

Overall, the experience was good.
