This place is so nice. Clean space easy to walk for anyone. Lots of picnic tables. Lots of dogs off leash. There are restrooms and also a Porta potty. Not a ton of parking.

One of the best off leash areas in Redding. The North Bechelli off Cypress and it dead ends at this place. There are a few parking spots on the pavement, and then there is a dirt lot below the paved parking spaces. Walking trail is very flat and goes in a small circle (probably about a mile long). There are plenty of trails that break off the main trail that can take you to more private areas and down to the river. On the West end the trails lead to a shallow part of the river that has a small hill to walk down. The river can get swift depending on time of year, so always evaluate before letting your dog go all the way in. On the south side of the park (the back end of the trail) there are a few picnic benches where you can have lunch and overlook the river. These benches have a lot of trees around them, so depending on the time of day they are usually well shaded. There are short but steep walkways down the the river in this area, but the river is deeper here and more swift, always use caution. Also back here are dirt bike jumps that look fun.

Really great spot to walk along the river. It has been cleaned up recently and is in really good shape. The gate does get closed at night now. Lots of people walking dogs and walking with their families. Great to see the river running high and fast this year. Stay away from the water tho.

My dog loves it here, and so do I. We have met a lot of friendly dogs and their owners. We even met my dogs twin. My dog now knows this as her favorite spot. I mention the words' favorite spot, and she knows where we are going. This is the best place that I have ever found to take het on walks. She just takes charge and goes wherever her little heart desires. I highly recommend this place for walking your dog. The only downside is there are a couple of places where you can tell someone is living in a tent or has lived there in a tent.

Nice place to walk your dog as long as you don't mind dogs off leash. Grand kiddos like to throw rocks in the river.

Beautiful place right on the river. The whole area is a leash free dog park.

Visiting Redding for an extended stay. My dog is used to living in the country with room to run and roam so it's been an adjustment for her to be on a leash wherever we go around here. We were happy to discover this off-leash dog park and take advantage of it every day we can. 38(?) acres of easy trails right along the river, so bring a towel. It does get crowded at times, but the vast majority of folks are friendly and conscientious of their pets. There's always one or two who aren't but they're pretty easily avoided.

Beautiful place to take your dog!! The river is shallow enough for them to play in! One of my favorite places!
