Oxford Suites Redding

I would take away half a star because the refrigerator, apparently, leaked water on the floor after we turned it on.. There was ice in the freezer, but the door was open and it was not turned on, so we turned it on and probably an hour later I noticed there was a puddle of water on the floor that came from the refrigerator. Service was very prompt, though and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was nice. It was a nice little room with the couch where you could have a bite and watch TV in your room. We didn’t use the pool, but there was a very pretty little pool there.

Absolutely worth the price. They had breakfast, a complimentary cocktail hour-style event on the day we arrived, and the rooms were so clean. After a long trip with lots of driving, we treated ourselves to the 2 queens suite, and it was lovely. Everything was fresh and tidy. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was clean.

I appreciated the front desk staff answering our questions and providing suggestions.

Our only complaint is that we could easily hear someone above us. We were on the 3rd floor and at 2am were awoken by the loudest walking and shuffling around from above us. That continued all night. It was loud enough that I assumed it was a staff/supply room. I believe it was a guest room. It didn’t ruin our stay, but if you are sensitive to noise, you might consider getting the 4th floor (wasn’t available to us) or staying elsewhere.

One free beer per adult each night, free breakfast is great. Rooms have always been very clean. Water has always been hot and shower is stocked with nice soaps. Beds are comfortable and AIR conditioning work nicely. If prices are comparable to other places, definitely go here, beer and breakfast make are the cherry on top of a great experience.

since the negatives were a lot less, I'll start off with them. first, no iron in the room. second, and this is really getting picky, the water pressure to the shower was on the low side, but definitely not a bag thing, just a slight inconvenience.
the lobby is like a maze and unlike typical hotel motel layouts.
the other thing I'm not crazy about, and this is more meaningful, is that breakfast is served by handing them your ticket which means there's no seconds on the hot items unless the servers are nice, and unless you ask. that system took it down to 4 stars for me and because breakfast is so important.
late checkout is noon and a $25 charge for an extra hour beyond that.
the positives, everything else..., staff upon check in and check out were exceptional and i really feel like bumping it to 5 stars because of them, but that breakfast...
rooms were spacious, more spacious than your typical motel hotel rooms. i love the divider that separates office space from the beds.
bathrooms were clean, showers were clean, two tv's, no room complaints.
place was quiet, all in all i would likely return unless another location with comparable reviews offers full hot breakfast that i might want to try out.
i was accommodated for late checkout, which, i think I'm going to bump it to 5 stars because of this accommodation. I'll end the review here.

An excellent dog-friendly stop on our way through California!
Don't believe what you read about this hotel online. It's all been renovated and was our best sleep on our 4 day trip. Sure the walls are not completely sound proof (what hotel is?) but after 10pm it was peace and quiet. The rooms are cozy and I have to note the great decor!
Complimentary cocktail hour in the lobby was a great touch as well as the little goody bag we got for our pup. Breakfast was excellent and the staff was kind. I would 100% stay again and recommend it to anyone looking for a stop on their way through!

After many hours on the road, this hotel was a great respite for my husband and I, and our two small dogs. The room was very clean, the beds and pillows were very comfortable, and every staff member we met was friendly and helpful.
The price was reasonable until they kept adding charges such as $35 per dog, which is about $15 more than we've paid at all other hotels. and a $50 deposit, which we were to get back, but have yet to receive..
Overall, it was a great place to get a good night's sleep.

Always friendly staff. Great value for the price. Excellent breakfast and bar. Outdoor pool, hot tub. Gym has peloton bike- everybody is helpful for anything you need - it’s clean, quiet and it’s safe - highly recommend.

OMG. I stayed here last summer on my way up to Oregon and am SOOOO excited to stay here for another night this summer. Staff was LOVELY. Free happy hour with drinks and food. A lovely pool. A delicious breakfast. I'm actually looking forward to my ten hour drive from San Diego!!! See you again soon!!!!!!!!!!!!

We booked the two bedrooms suite and had a lovely stay. The front desk staff is attentive and friendly. The room is sparkling clean with modern interior. The hot water kettle and steeping coffee bag is so convenient- I wish every hotel offers that! We were pleasantly delighted by the welcome drink (beer/wine) and appetizers which is such a nice touch. A small nitpick is that we head steps/noises from above - could be a loud guest or poor sound insulation. It didn’t bother our stay and we just hope that we weren’t too loud for who stayed beneath us. Highly recommend and would stay again!

I had stayed here about 20 years ago and needed a place to overnight recently. I figured it wou,d be run down by now but the reviews were good so I chose it. I was pleasantly surprised. It has been updated and maintained. The evening reception included soup so I didn't have to go out for a bite. The breakfast had a nice selection including freshly made scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, fresh strawberries as well as the typical fair found in hotel breakfasts. The staff was friendly and helpful. The stY exceeded my expectations. I will stay again.

Top scores for this place. Stayed here for Thanksgiving and really enjoyed myself. Generally, I just want a clean room and a smile when I check in....well, be prepared for next level service. From fresh warm cookies upon arrival to appetizers and well drinks, the service just continued to impress. The breakfast in the morning offered a great variety and the facilities were superb.
Will definitely recommend and stay again!!

Nice hotel, good breakfast except for the pancakes… becarful for the breakfast dictatorship they won’t let you serve yourself twice… which is weird… but the food is good and the pool area are great!

Great accommodations. Staff was well inform and welcoming. Assured us the property is safe, with parking lot security cameras and crews. Complimentary drinks and lite food from 5:30-7:30pm and hot breakfast 6-9am. Heated pool and hot tub with fire pit tables. A steak house, next door.

I finally found what I have been looking for in a hotel- a clean, well-appointed facility with friendly, helpful staff for a reasonable price. We checked in at 4. Cookies had just been set out, and coffee, tea and fruit- infused water were available. We were informed happy hour was at 4:30 and that appetizers would be served- I saw pizza, veggies and macaroni salad. Our room was spotlessly clean and I mean perfectly immaculate! There was a king-sized bed and another room that could be closed off with a sofa bed, TV and desk. The shower had plenty of hot water and lemongrass sage products made for Oxford Suites. A vanity with a sink doubled as a coffee/ bar with a hot pot, a variety of teas and coffee, glasses and mugs with an ice-maker nearby down the hall. The desk clerk informed us the pool was heated at all times to 85 degrees, and additionally there was a jacuzzi. In the morning, a great free breakfast was offered with eggs, bacon, and biscuits and gravy being cooked on-site. Offerings also included bagels,muffins, toast,cereal and coffee and juices.It was a great stay, and they offered a discount on an additional visit.

We had a wonderful stay. Great breakfast, fantastic bed, awesome shower with excellent pressure. Everything was too of the line. This hotel chain is worth a stay. Staff is friendly. Highly recommended.

Been staying here for a number of years on our occasional trips to Redding. We love this place. And breakfast! A real hot breakfast. Not to mention lots of other postives, but I'll leave it right here. Keep it up. Oxford House.

Very clean hotel. We had the choice of what floor we wanted when we got there (we have two toddlers) and we found the hotel to be quiet and just what we were looking for along our drive to our destination. Would stay here again!

We had an amazing experience while checking-in, thanks to Melissa and Hugo specifically who were really patient and helped us with the room we wanted. Never ever experienced such friendly staff who went out of their way to make us comfortable.

Hands down THE BEST place to stay in Redding. From the atmosphere, to the anticipated needs. The entire experience here is amazing. A 100% must if your looking to stay in a clean, and comfortable place.
