Barry is incredible! He’s been here for 49 years helping people! He’s got all sorts of Telemark bindings from 75mm Telemark to NTN Telemark and parts on hand! He let me use his tools to fix what was broken on my 22 Design Axl’s! That’s not all, there is outerwear, base layers, rain coats and pants, food, fuel, cutlery and cookware, shoes/boots, packs, guide books, crampons, mittens and hats, skis, ski boots especially back country, ski skins, Telemark ski rentals, boats, and so much more packed carefully in this amazing store. It has that homey feel like you’re visiting a neighbor and is cozy but not imposing, he will let you browse solo or help you every step of the way. I believe Barry would give you the shirt off of his back and walk in the pouring rain after with a smile on his face knowing he helped you. He’s a very nice man and I’m so happy to have shared a few hours with him. I will say, buy good gear and you won’t have to replace it, good gear is going to cost money, you get what you pay for. Take care of your gear, don’t leave it outside in the weather, clean it and care for it. Barry’s prices are fair, competitive, and honest. This should be a Long Trail stop for resupply, he’s got everything you need!

We did a kayaking tour down the Mad River with guide Kim. He was excellent! My kids are 14 and 11 year old twins. I’m very glad we did the guided tour - we’ve all kayaked before but going on the river with rapids, rocks, eddy’s etc, there was a lot to learn and it was great to have someone knowledgeable with us! It was an excellent experience, well organized and we all had a great time - kayaking under the covered bridge was epic!

I came here for snow shoes. First I picked a cheaper pair, back to hotel and regretted, they let me exchanged these msr snow shoes without hesitation! And I checked the price on rei.com (same price in the store) very cool!

We were able to rent kayaks at the last minute! The staff were friendly and were patient to teach us how to secure two kayaks on top of our car.

This review is long overdue. The owners are tremendous! They helped my friends and I figure out where to go in the dead of winter. Their recommendations on where to snowshoe, hike, ski, eat, drink and spend the night were on point. No forgetting to mention their awesome shop that has everything you need for any outdoor adventure! Can't wait to get back there some day.

Wonderful people! I went there to try and replace a broken sternum strap; they didn't have any in stock, so one of the very kind gentleman made me one on the spot! How cool is that?? Hope to be able to go in the store once COVID settles down. Thank you very much!

I rented a pair of G3 telemark skis. I have big feet so the bindings needed some adjusting. The folks there did a great job to get everything set up for me to use the skis and were really helpful with dining recommendations. Will definitely rent from them again.

Cool little shop with amazingly wide selection of products. Extremely friendly, competent and helpful staff. I will definetely go back anytime I'm around. They also held on to my resupply on a recent trip. Barry & Craig, I can't thank you guys enough for your help.

clearwater sports took my group of 12 on a kayak trip on the winooski river this weekend. we had a GREAT time, and felt very safe with our guides. the trip was a mix of small rapids and flat stretches. all in all, it was a very solid workout and we all got to be right in the middle of some beautiful scenery. we had a full day with clearwater, thanks to barry for arranging the guides to go with us, and lunch as well!

only tip i would give to future groups: weather changes VERY quickly in this area. when we left, it was cloudy/overcast with rain in the forecast. the day ended up being VERY warm and sunny instead! i wish we packed sunscreen/more water to be better prepared.

The guys were great. Super friendly and helpful. we had a blast tubing down the river (even with the rainstorm at the end!)

This place has a great variety, very accommodating... They take resupply boxes for hikers which helped us tremendously. Very helpful and friendly.
