This is a hidden gem of a store in the Valley if you are looking for elegant, fashionable ski and apres ski wear. They carry brands in VT that are typically hard to find like Toni Sailer and Bogner. Definitely worth stopping in.

A group of friends and I entered Sportive on Saturday afternoon and had a rather unpleasant experience. I can only assume it was not the owner that attended to us since there was no Austrian accent, but a rather snooty one.

We were shopping and one of my friends went to pay for a sweater. The clerk said the total would be $363 and my friend was confused. She read the tag as $36. When she acted surprised at the price the clerk asked "where are you from" in a very snotty way. Needless to say, my friend was extremely embarrassed. I was witnessing this conversation from an area where you stock your M.Miller fur hats as I was trying on a black one, making sure the size was correct because I was preparing to purchase the hat (and yes, I knew it was $330). After seeing the exchange of conversation between my friend and your rude clerk, I put the hat back and turned to another friend who was also watching the event. She stated that we needed to leave because she was not feeling welcome in the establishment.

At that point I agreed and started for the door. Your clerk then told us all to leave and to never come back.

I really don't know how you sell any product with that type of employee. I feel certain that she gets dressed the same way we all do in the morning and don't know why she feels there is a class system in the United States.

I was on vacation in Vermont with family staying at a local ski lodge when a few of us happened upon this store. We stopped in to browse and were immediately greeted with a level of rudeness that we thought we left behind when we left New York.

The shop had poorly labeled price tags and when a person in our group went to buy a sweater it came to over $350. When she decided she'd rather not buy the sweater due to the high price, the salesperson responded with astonishment and crudely asked, "where are you from?!" Apparently we're not from such a high class place as this tiny town near Warren VT...

The salesperson then proceeded to ask us to leave the store and not come back.

Classism is alive and well in Waitsfield Vermont.
Don't enter this store unless you've got at least $1,800 in your wallet. Window shopping is not welcome here.

Very unpleasant experience. The owner is very rude and we felt we were looked down upon. Not a great way to start a vacation.

The proprietor doesn’t deserve a dime of your money! She seems to think she’s doing you a favor shopping and spending at her store.

I enjoy shopping for high end skiwear and went into the store and sniffy woman running the place stared at us. After asking if it only was a woman’s store, she curtly said no and walked away, leaving us to stumble around until we found the men’s items. Later, as we were walking back to leave, I kindly told her she had beautiful things, she had the pomposity for respond “that’s what people who don’t buy anything say.”

Shameful and rude.

I’m an avid skier and visited Sugarbush for the weekend with my sisters. We love to peruse all the local high-end skiwear shops & boutiques when we’re in a new area. I’m not sure if the owner waited on us, but I must agree with a few of the other reviews on the unpleasant experience. I’m thrilled that we all decided not to purchase a thing from this shop. The woman running the store wasn’t very helpful and had a pompous attitude. After I tried on a beautiful white Bogner jacket & handed it back to her, she immediately said “upstairs is 1/2 price” When we were at Stratton a few weeks ago we visited a few fabulous ski shops that had all the same brands and others you don’t carry. We were treated wonderful and spent lots of $$$😂 Kindness matters!

Owner was rude and dismissive when I didn't want to pay $1000+ for ski wear. Obviously I walked into the wrong store. I'm sure it happens a lot but it never pays to make people feel bad.

The lady who runs it is very rude and even said I’m not a “real skier” when I said I didn’t watch the local competition.
