Greeted with a smile. Service was great. Food was like home cook'n with portions large enough even for my appetite. Restaurant and bathroom were clean. Worth the drive. It sits on the east end away from the downtown crowd.

Excellent & very fast service! The waitress there brought items out to our table even before we asked...now that's impressive! The country fried steak was tasty and even the "normal" smaller portion was so huge with the option to add on a salad for a few bucks, which was nice! Friendly atmosphere! Nice stop to eat off the highway, clean, friendly, and tasty!

My first time there. Went at noon and offered both breakfast and lunch menu. Meat loaf was good, mashed potatoes. Nice size veggie menu. Close to interstate and down town. Homey feel.

Damn good coffee! Kirk was a great server and treated us like family. They have their own hot sauces which are delicious!!! We ended up taking home the Habanero Garlic Hot Sauce. Amazing food as well. Will stop here again!

Fantastic food with ample portions. The price is right and the service is friendly. I had the breakfast burrito one day, loved it so much I went back for the ultimate omelette the next day. If you ask me which is better I couldnt say, both are just delicious and filling. If you're in Idaho Springs, this is the place to go for breakfast.

The chicken fried steak is delicious, and humongous. The B&G is on point as well.

Nice folks and great food, especially the chicken fried steak and Amarillo chicken. The taco salad was good too.

I've visited this place five or so times, and I'm never dissatisfied. The food is good, hot and plentiful. I particularly like the onion rings. They're certainly house made and have great batter. The chicken fried steak is easily enough for two meals. Also, ask for their hot sauces. They have a bunch to choose from and you can even purchase them. The green sauce is my favorite.

We took the waiters advice and ordered the chicken fried steak and a cheeseburger. Both were good size and very tasty. Service was prompt and friendly. A very old time, greasy spoon type of place. A great place for a quiet meal and conversation. A nice change from the concrete floor and metal ceiling surroundings of most newer restaurants.

We stopped here for lunch while back in Idaho Springs for more supplies. My oldest and I both had the Reuben....which was very good. My youngest had the kids cheeseburger meal, and filled himself up on the homemade chips. (The cheeseburger came back to the cabin with us.) My wife had the beef burrito....and she loved it. Just the right amount of heat for her. Out waitress was extremely friendly, and we will definitely swing by here again the next time we are out this way for a few days.

I came through here with my boyfriend after riding the train from Georgetown which I highly recommend doing. I was greeted by Stephanie who welcomed us both so kindly and warmly we felt right at home. The cheese sticks were super fresh and delicious. We both ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes & it was definitely a wonderful home feeling type of meal. The chicken was crispy and the fries that came along with it (you can add veggies but my boyfriend and I are both picky 😂) were exceptional. Since we were the only ones in the restaurant we got to chat with Stephanie and it was great conversation. I can definitely see why she chose to relocate there, the town is beautiful and the people are warm and welcoming. If you pass through here please stop by and enjoy some good food and great company as well. Thank you, Stephanie for treating us so wonderfully. Next time we’re in town, we are definitely stopping by again.

Well this place is quite the treat, they have an excellent burger. Absolutely mouthwatering, good prices, and the waiters and waitresses are very kind and friendly. I literally would give 6 stars if that was a thing, but other than that. This place is magnificent.

Great little restaurant! Recommended by the staff at the Argo Gold Mine. Delicious cheeseburgers and patty melts. They were a little under-staffed, but still provided good service. Kept our drinks filled and made sure we were happy despite how busy it was. We had 3 kids ranging from 2 to 8 and their food was delicious. There was a lot for them to look at. They played "eye spy" while they waited for the adults to finish. Highly recommend the California burger - guacamole and bacon. So good!

We stopped at this gem on our way back to Denver and sat outside on the sunny patio. The staff was nice, the food came quickly, and the atmosphere was comfortable. They specialize in comfort food like mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders, and country fried steak, and they do a really good job getting it all crispy and hot.

Great food, atmosphere and service!

My boyfriend and I decided at the last minute to come up and stay at the hot springs for the night. If you stay at Indian hot springs resort you get a 15% discount here. It's a great atmosphere, not crowded at all, and super cute decor. The food is good, nice home-cooked comfort food. Limited bar options but the margaritas are good. Simple but strong. The reason I decided I needed to review was the service. Our waiter was great. He was extremely friendly and sweet. I'd come here again just because of him. His name was Kirk. The food was done quickly and was delicious. I got the French dip sandwich and my boyfriend got the chili rellenos. Reasonable prices.

The food is excellent, with large servings,. 8 of us ate and everyone was more than pleased with our meals. You cannot go wrong with the green Chile pork chili. The service is as good as the food.

Food and service were both great. Outside looked a bit rundown, and wasn't helped by the road construction that tore up their yard too. Inside looked nice - admittedly I'm not sure why there was a Christmas tree up in early September. Surprising amount of vegetarian options, and everything we tried was very good. Both employees also offered advice on our car which had overheated, and ended up being the reason we stopped in.
